NHK announces special “Kohaku” projects by hosts Arashi & Matsushita Nao



2010’s “Kohaku Uta Gassen” is already hyping up to be a spectacular event because of the hosts and special performances lined up for this year. Well “Kouhaku” has just gotten better, as NHK announced that the hosts - Arashi (for the white team) and Matsushita Nao (for the red) – will deliver special projects for the event!

To the delight of “Ge Ge Ge no Nyobo fans, Matsushita Nao will play “Arigatou” on the piano! “Arigatou” is the theme song for the drama, played whenever there was a memorable scene. Since Nao also acted in the morning drama, her piano performance is sure to be a huge hit with the audience.

Arashi’s project, on the other hand, draws from the members’ individual journeys across Japan. Titled, “Bokutachi no Furusato Nippon (Our home, Japan)”, the project is a video compilation of all the smile photos the members took during their journey. Four members have already finished shooting for the project: Sakurai Sho visited a carpenter who builds shrines and temples in Kanagawa; Aiba Masaki went to Kyoto to see a family of tea farmers; Ninomiya Kazunari visited an agricultural high school in Hokkaido; and Matsumoto Jun went to Okinawa to see the traditional dye-workers’ studio.

Ohno Satoshi’s shoot for the project will be held soon, however, where he decides to visit remains a secret.

Arashi will also perform a new song written by playwright Koyama Kundou about the members’ reflections from their journeys. The title of the new song has not been revealed, and it hasn’t been decided if it would be released in the future.

i only saw the WISH performance earlier! i didn't know there was a medley (of my favorite songs) too! i gotta go find it on youtube, lol.

anyway, WISH's performance was SUPER CUTE! the boys were so funny! and their outfits were pretty..."different", LOL. but still totally JE. i think sho & aiba looked the best because i didn't like the kilt/skirt that nino & jun wore.

@Beauty: Mhm, I actually really liked the outfits they were wearing for "Wish". They were much better than some of their concert ouftits! XDD

And Nino was wearing shorts, but yes, it looked like a skirt! I also had to look twice...

i just saw the medley and OMG. BEST MEDLEY EVERRRR. i loved the outfits they wore during this much more than WISH, lol. but i seriously loved the energy they had in Monster & Love Rainbow. then when Troublemaker came on, i was so pumped! especially when sho said something and then something exploded on stage, LOL. i saw sho making some funny facial expressions too! i feel addicted to this medley. i can't stop watching it! too amazing, just too amazing.

also, matsujun now looks BEAUTIFUL with his new hair. i officially LOVE IT!

YES...the medley was so great. The songs were perfect, especially "Monster"!!!
And I really enjoyed how all the girls were trying to touch the boys while not touching them.
I mean, it's always funny to watch the reactions of the audience. They want to be close to the guys, but when one of them stands really close they shy away from them.
But I think, I would do the same thing...!

Ahhhh~~ MatsuJun's new hair...mhm...I still don't like it very much, but if he plans to keep it for more than a few weeks, I think I need to get used to it!!

But to be honest, I didn't pay too much attention to anybody else but Riida. Darn...this man has stolen my heart...I WANT it back...

oh man WISH is a CLASSIC song in their discography

besides being used for Hanadan , I always always recall A.B.C.Z's Kawai impersonating MatsuJun A LOT during Shounen Club & that goes for him impersonating MatsuJun whenever he sang Love so sweet xD

Right from the dance moves to the song itself , Kawai does that pitch perfect lmao

I love it whenever Kawai does that & MatsuJun surprisingly is flattered by this

anyway DVD covers for their new tour is OK but what's the difference between the 1st press & normal editions LOL

YESSSS! "Childminder Arashi" episodes are precious!

I really miss their old shows, especially "Arashi no Shukudai-kun"! They were so much more fun then their shows now. I mean "vs. Arashi" is interesting...sometimes...and I also liked the original "Himitsu" better!

And don't even get me started on "Shiyagare"...

i'm pretty used to shiyagare by now. IMO their still acting like dorks even if there's no aibaland or guest stuff like AnS. i've stopped watching VS arashi once it went to the golden hour, but i didn't really watch much of it when it was less than an hour. i saw a few episodes here & there but i couldn't fully catch up with it. i never fully watched HnA, either. i still don't, because i can't DL them onto my computer. the files are too big & i figure since their RAW, it doesn't really pay to DL it, since it'll be forever until it gets subbed, lol. i don't really love HnA's segments nowadays, just VIP room once in awhile. i guess VS arashi & HnA never really interested me as much as shudukai-kun did. i downloaded those episodes every week back in 2008, and i followed it since then until it ended. i could really follow that show because i believe it was their best show, along with the AMAZING D and G no Arashi. i watched every single episode of those 2 shows! i don't think arashi could ever make another show that could match those 2 shows.

so nowadays i only follow shiyagare regularly since it gets uploaded on youtube. that's the only show i can keep up and it's the only show that interests me the most.
