Reading the interviews though I think the stagnation is on purpose. Because she was really forcing rapid growth for so long that she just wants to relax now.

I’m at the ayu night drag event / dance party. I started to record the first performer but someone told me I couldn’t do it, even though the person ahead of me filming with their phone the whole time. Maybe cause mine was a digital camera.

Anyway someone performed Terminal and it was fucking epic! They mixed with with snippets of ayus vocals from the Morinaga hi-chew cm and I was dying! The performer was handing out hi-chews haha.

I think that at this point this "break" from releases and so is purely ayu's decision. I feel like she might have some people on her team who come up with ideas and concepts, but she's probably not looking for a change in her image or such. I just wonder if she wants to release something for her 20th, but I think her efforts are on the 20th anniv tour and maybe a TA Tour.

She's "comfortable", I'd say, and there's nothing wrong in that, given all she's accomplished, but I also have this feeling of missing her stuff. That's just the way things are now and we gotta get used to that...

Well, what has happened with Ayu's team has been going on for a long time now.

They launch the English or Chinese sites but they are not updated. They launch the multi language YT videos but only for one release. Things have really badly done English or it sneaks its way into PVs without people looking it over prior.

We will likely never get anything more polished from this team since this has been an issue in various ways for like a decade now.

Oh, indeed this is a bad point, the discontinuity of stuff... I wonder why it even happens. Maybe the people in her team change too much? Or they decide to focus on something else?
Kuu's FC also sucks at keeping translations updated, they usually happen in batches every three months :/ I mean, you're going for a global website, make it really global...

I also miss the professionalism in her career... someone of her level should have been always surrounded by a top notch staff ... I pretty know that ayu is quite volatile & rebellious and her coworkers are like a second family for her but it really don’t help her doing that way ! She was so demanding during her first decade I can’t believe she doesn’t care anymore it seems she still feels concerned by critics. Some quick changes could be really beneficial for her it’s such a waste:/
