Personally... I think it needs to grow on me.

I will say that I’m happy to have a memorable melody, and the production value seems much better than a lot of what she’s released in the past few years.

I love the lyrics; so uplifting that I felt like crying as I read it while listening to the song.

they give me the impression that she wrote this with a long-time and very dear friend in mind, instead of a romantic partner. the idea of quarrelling with a good friend, making up, acknowledging diverged paths, while staying true to each other, and chasing a common dream—make me so emotional as I think about my good friends

I think both friend and "ex-partner." Bet she is referring to Max Matsuura.

I agree. For me this song represents her complicated journey with Max and is stating that their shared dream for her music is what has brought them together again - the epilogue to the TROUBLE lyrical era. Just my thoughts
