omg already?! lately there's been too much jpop news, i can't handle it all
 anyway, will listen to the preview now. edit: it sounds SO BEAUTIFUL. i'm seriously not exaggerating, lol. i looove it! such a nice surprise, since i really didn't know what to expect!

I have that ARASHI's Still ... vibes when I heard the preview of Sakura Girl but it's nice I have to say !
helps that I like Still ... xD Tegoshi's vocals are strong in the preview

I still feel/thinks Sakura Girl sounded like ARASHI's Still ... to a certain extent & let alone Snowflake
all 3 songs have that same vibes that it gives out not that it's a bad thing as I like both B-sides of ARASHI's I just hope the Sakura Girl covers & PV wouldn't be so cheesy

so far, I don't understand yet why this song is single... it doesn't seem like anything special to me... yet... I guess I was just expecting a lil something more from NEWS... to me, it sounds kinda like a b-side from an Arashi single... i mean, that song "Why" from NEWS's weeeek single is way cooler and more solid than this "Sakura Girl".
maybe it'll grow on me... I gotta give it a chance lol

^ Well, it's only 2min preview, LQ. I didn't enjoy it that much first, I was just happy to hear NEWS again, but I liked it way better with a few listens
Maybe it'll be the case for you too!And lol, I thought SAKURA GIRL sounds like an ARASHI song but way better XD

^ yeah i guess I was just hoping for something a little more grown-up sounding from NEWS... after (my future husband) Pi's solo single that was so "cool" and "smooth" sounding... *shrugs*
and I don't wanna talk a bunch about Arashi in the NEWS thread lol but I feel like Arashi has a better balance vocal-wise than NEWS... I'm just really hoping for some awesome other tracks on Sakura Girl ^^

at the end of the day , it's better for them to release something than nothing
it's hard that Ryo's in 2 bands . If not NEWS & let alone Eito's releases will be more frequent in a year but too bad you cannot spilt a person up into 2 .__.

i actually really like the song, no joke (and i'm usually very critical about NEWS, lol). i think if they released another "Koi no ABO"-esque song i would've been pissed because that song was soooo...generic. there's a nice ring to "Sakura Girl".
i really do think the mellow-upbeat/GReeeN/Happy Birthday route is a good style for NEWS.

it does sound like happy birthday, a little bit! i agree with irene that these type of songs (along with weeeek) fit NEWS
 the beginning reminds me a bit of yamapi's loveless though, lol.the preview was in my head all day. i'm gonna listen to it again now.
