^ personally I think you can can compare them since they are both the same type of music and same type of artist. Just because ones a remix and ones a compilation doesn;t make one better over the other... Yes they are different albums, but so are Party Queen and Love Songs... people compare those all the time.
I don't think I would compare them sales wise because beach hits is gonna totally flop, although it might do better because of the new song.... it's just because it is a remix album, and Koda's remix albums don't usually do so well.

Remix albums in general for the most part don't usually do so well. Ayu's last batch of remix albums sold around 15-20k but for a remix album thats not bad at all.

But they aren't. Those REMIXES are REMIXES and don't really fall into pop category. And anyone who's following Oricon charts knows the remix albums do a lot worse than BEST OFs.

Exactly what I'm trying to say. It'd be like me comparing Best Third Universe vs Ayu-mi-x 7 (any one of them).

What I was trying to say was that both women do the same type of music. So they can be compared.
I also know that one is a remix and the other is a best, so by numbers one shouldnt compare.

I wouldn't be surprised if ASB flops ...I mean look at the sales of PQ. These are record low for Ayu.

No, it's a normal decline for ayu. Party Queen's sales got down but in a normal decline.

More or less I guess...

Imo they don't. But I wasn't talking about Koda VS Ay or their music being compared. I was simply stating that the albums shouldn't be compared when it comes to sales because of the obvious reasons, especially not based on the logic that the covers are ****** and that they both have one new not so great song...

according to statistics, that's not true. Party queen sold about 53% of of what Love Songs sold a year before. Granted, it sold about 67% of the total amount of FIVE, but that's a mini album and it was put out for sale 7 months before Party queen.

Ayu's sales have been steadily declining, but as far as I know for a studio album, she's never ever had such a steep decline in just a year. Love Songs sold 85% of what RRC sold which sold about 84% of NL. NLs sales were considered quite bad, but it still sold 66% of GUILTY which was released a bit more than a year before. Compare that to PQ 53% of LS sales and not even 100% of a mini album with 5 songs. MY STORY as we know outperformed MA. MY STORY did about 58% of RAINBOW but that was two years later and RAINBOW was released towards the end of ayu's peak. So overall I think it's safe to say that PQ has performed below legitimate expectations and that it wasn't a well received album in commercial terms, even if it didn't "flop".

I don't think ASB will flop. Best albums tend to do pretty well, right?

I'm expecting at least a curve up on Ayu's sales with this release. Who knows? It might lead to her most awaited second peak.

I guess that comparing how both ASB and BM will do against each other IS a bad idea.
Regardless of what people say, Koda is gonna flop and Ayu is just might flop. I don't really see a No 1 on the Oricon. At least they're both not releasing on the 15th, otherwise their fates would have been sealed and their wigs would have been snatched by AKB48.

And as for both albums, they both share:
1. Trashy covers.
2. A new so-so song.
3. A summer concept.

Ayu's contains un-remixed songs (save for a You & Me remix which people say is on there), while Koda's contains all remixed songs (save for Whatchu Waitin' On). In fact, in this respect, the albums are complete opposites of each other.

But you do realize Kuu flopping with a remix album is perfectly normal? Ayu is releasing a GH album and if that flops it's certainly something to be worried over.

^ It may be something normal, but NOT something she deserves, especially when the remixes on this album are pretty good.

It's not a flop if it just meets the expectated... Most people simply don't care about remix albums, and those tend to sell less.

Traditionally Ayu's Bests sell better than the preceding studio album. Like A Complete sold over 800k though Guilty only sold over 500k.

So I'm fairly confident ASB can get a platinum certification or at least reach 200k in sales

IM hoping for the 150-250k range...
i would love for her to sell more.
But sadly this best as a lot of her songs from a best 2... so i dont know, maybe avex just wants to keep ayumi in everyones minds for her 15 ann.
