Various Tower Records across Japan have tweeted that ALARM is in stock again. Not sure if it's because all her releases are getting restocked, or if Namie's crew is aware of this campaign so that's why it's being produced again.

Her tour tickets can be bought by anyone.

The first round(s) of her lotteries are always fanclub members only. After that, the lotteries open up to everyone.

All you need is a tickebo account. They allow international addresses if you sign up through the English site. Her fanclub also now accepts international fans and any address can be used, if you want to join.

Do you think your chances are much greater through her fanclub? Are there a certain amount of dates you can choose?

I guess, technically, your chances are higher. Since with the fanspace lotteries, you're only competing against other fanclub members for that specific date. Whereas with the general lottery, you're competing against everyone.

She also usually gives her fanclub members more opportunities to get tickets via additional lotteries. So if you didn't get tickets the first time around, you could always try again.

The membership is only like $50 for the entire next year (and it's decreasing every month). So I think even if it's only a slight better chance, it's worth it if you really want to go see her.

I want to imagine her upcoming tour will be easier to attend, since they'll be at domes, but it's also her retirement tour so I guess competition will be insane anyways.

^That's good to know. Is the Dome tour her last tour in Japan or do you think there will be more dates added later on in the year? Personally, I'm a little hesitant with booking a trip for the dome tour dates we currently know of (just February right?) because tickets will be so hard to get

That's what I thought originally. It's worded kind of confusingly with reference to the Asian leg of the tour outside Japan. I think more details are supposed to be announced, so maybe it'll clear up the confusion.

She'll announce the tour schedule next month, so hopefully we'll find out about her entire year plan at that time.

I really hope all her performances won't only in February though, since I barely have any vacation days that month lol.

She could totally do 1 dome a month, with multiple dates at each dome. That could easily take up February to June. And then the remaining months of her career could be the Asia Tour dates and then the DVD release. But who knows with her lol.

Lol so true. the 1 dome with multiple show dates per month totally sounds workable, though. I was going crazy trying to see if I could see her February, but I'd much rather come later in the year, and hopefully see Ayu's 20th Anniv tour as well when I'm there. It all comes down to the tour dates. And whether I win any of the lotteries I try to apply for of course :p

Yeah, I have the thing you are referring to. There was a TV broadcast of her best singles tour from Taiwan, I believe. It wasn't the full show, but quite a few songs.

If they do indeed just have all these lives sitting around (and it appears they do, because they are scheduled to have at least something released from them) I am sure that Avex will come out with a complete live box set either sometime this year or right after her retirement at an insane price (which I will probably gladly pay lol); she had a lot of lives particuarly in her low sales period that were just not released and then also plenty of lives from the 90s that weren't released becuase DVD wasn't a format yet and releasing everything on VHS just wasn't that common.

Other artists have done this before as well. Like for L'arc en Ciel's 20th or something (or maybe 15th) all of a sudden their old singles showed up on Oricon. Smap as well, when they announced their retirement; old singles popped up on the charts.

I've always wondered where these copies are coming from though because it seems odd.

Yes! That was it, the Taiwan show! lol I'd probably end up buying the box set as well if I can tbh. Also I was able to join both Namie's fanspace and TA fan club no problem with a foreign address.

Not true , the NO MUSIC NO LIFE is Tower Records Japan's marketing tag phrase and it has nothing to do with Namie's impending retirement . Other artistes who do collaboration tie in's and/or photoshoots with Tower Records also use that same phrase as well
