Not all that amazing. I really liked the deaths though. Those were cool.

^Awwww, was just about to post that. XD Hmm, maybe my expectations for the PV weren't as high as I thought they were but I wasn't disappointed at all. I loved it (which is surprising to me since I prepared to be let down lol). It had it's flaws:

Spoiler:
like the editing kinda made it hard to see the "story" in there, if I hadn't read the article about it beforehand, I wouldn't have got it at all lol. And I didn't think all the deaths would happen back to back, should have spread them out but OHNOES my Maririn got killed in like the first 30 seconds. And I could barely see my Tomochin at all. The editing did do the dance more justice though, it looked more fierce than in the straight dance shot. Tbh, I don't think this was worth censoring at all. Yeah, the violence is initially shocking but I've honestly seen worse being a kid who grow up around horror movie fanatics. This wouldn't have scared me at all when I was younger. But the Japanese are known to be more overprotective of their youth... now that I think about it, it's possible this PV is actually sending a sort of message to those parents. Like it's ok if your kid gets hurt in life because it's a part of growing up and growing stronger or something like that.

but overall, I was very pleased.

I loved the song and the PV!!
And i agree with the censore, the hand scene wasn't for everyone...
The death scenes are so good and the PV idea was good and original...hopes it sells a loot

^ Shocking? Realistic? I know some people reacted to it emotionally.

The PV is good. I can see how it would be hard to follow or to see a story with in it. There was a real good post on Stage48 that made the PV make sense but the thread for Beginner is 92 pages now. The lyrics (which were translated) were in there too but now that the single is out we will probably get a better translation.

I can understand the censoring.

I wasn't disappointed by the PV at all either, and I had very high expectations. The few clips we had already seen made it pretty obvious how it was gonna be. Like Ranma Matsuri said, I was so sad to see Maririn die at the beginning, especially since she's my fav. And the hand part was actually much more shocking than I expected. Definitely a great video for song of the year. I wonder what the edited version for the DVDs will look like.

Well on AKBINGO they showed a version with all the different dance versions mixed together and it had had behind the scenes footage in it. I think that's the edited version for the DVDs but we'll see. Speaking of Mariko

BEGINNER Dance version with her as center.

BEGINNER Dance version with Jurina and Mayu.

I'm downloading the single now! Can't wait to listen to the song!
I'll wait for a download to watch the PV if one shows up.

So so SO tempted to watch the Maririn version but.... I wanna wait for my single. Gah! I'll watch Nee instead to keep me preoccupied. XD

I've been jamming to Beginner in HQ all day. The song just hits all the right notes for me, I love it. Makes a great work out song too, the beat and the lyrics really gets the blood pumping.

That was quite strange... O_O but interesting, I liked it. Yeah, the BG did remind me of ourselves.

Now if the themes were switched that would be cool.

(and if you don't use your Best Setlist voting ticket can I have the code? I wouldn't want a vote that could go towards Sayaka's solo song to go to waste you see XD)

Damn, should have ordered off auction. I want the Tomochin ooooonnnnneeeee. Is it bad that I'm now considering getting the Type B? XD
No XD Type B is awesome.

I'm curious to know how much Beginner has sold. I guess we have to wait.

^lol sorry, I just found out what the voting ticket was for last night so I'll be using it afterall to vote for Tomochin's group song from TKS6.

I guess if we go by the rate we get Ayu's sales, we'll have midday like midnight/early morning and then 1st day sales tomorrow afternoon.

That SKE48 PV was incredible. I really like the song too. It'd be nice if that duo went off into their own subgroup if they did music/videos like that all the time.

lol I was (sorta) right:

Beginner midday sales: 77,821

compared to Hebirote's midday sales: 55,226

Looks like they're doing good so far.
