nah, her first best album M18 is because of some pvs, but the stupid censorboard never said which. When it was just out, it's still PG, only when Best~SS was out, it suddenly change to M18 without a vaild reason....

The ratings are for her pvs, not concerts though

Apparently live concerts in Japan are not very strict on ratings. The series of X japan concerts in March featured topless dancers but there were parents who brought their kids in according to my friend who went. It's like a typical ayu concert as far as ratings go

Does anyone know if singapore sells the VCD version? I've been thinking of getting that because it's cheaper and the subtitles are on the screen. Glancing up and down from the screen to translation sheet for (m)u tour was no picnic, esp. since the chinese characters r fan ti...

^thanks but i was hoping places like sembawang, mj or cd-rama would sell it instead cos HMV tends to jack up prices.

I'm sure those that have read english translations for kk's songs would agree lyrics alone also deserve a higher rating. Not to be degrading to kk who i'm sure works very hard and have released nice ballads and such as well, but the porn market in japan is very prevalent (according to my friend in tokyo) and the stuff that kk does sells. Not that she has crossed to line to porn.

I know but you can definitely tell that in terms of J pop music selection , HMV wins hands down & the rest can't be compared .

but the translation on the screen for VCD are in traditional chinese though and the quality sucks~~~

It's ok because i forced myself to read traditional chinese when reading manga in sec sch days. Better than spraining my neck tracking the words on the translation sheet. I guess i could read the sheet AFTER watching the concert but if u're an english speaker like I am, u will understand what a pain that is.

Quality is a good point. In yesasia, the difference between a HK DVD and VCD is only $6 so if i'm ordering online, will definitely get the DVD. If singapore does not offer the VCD below 24, i won't get it, if they're offering it at all. But we all have HD players don't we

I think Warner's lazy . For some reasons , they have imported the TOS & Namie's PLAY Tour DVDs from HK .

I called them up before & that's what happened & because of this , you have to pay more this time round as they imported the DVDs from HK .

I think the same thing will happen for Koda's Black Cherry Tour DVD

So aren't both concerts imported from HK? The price differential is really ridiculous. I was almost tempted to just buy Play tour even though i don't support Namie. But i never really had a problem with warner until this asia tour thingy though lol... Was it the same situation with (m)u tour? I bought that tour in taiwan so i'm not sure if singapore overcharged as well.

By the way, i salute u for calling singapore based customer service hotlines. It's a pity that the bad ones bring down the good ones that r trying so hard.

yes both concerts DVDs are imported from HK . I called Warner up personally & they told me over the phone .

I don't know why this time round they have been lazy not to produce the DVDs locally & I suspect the same thing will happen for Koda Kumi's Black Cherry Tour .

The prices are high this time round because you have to pay for the import charges since Warner imported the stock over from HK .

& oh I checked my arena tour DVD . It's made in SG -_- so what the heck is going on ???

^i saw MY Story DVD yesterday, and it was made in taiwan....

as for kuu's BC tour, taiwan is only releasing one version of it(in 2DVD/4VCD), i wondeer it's the limited version or regular version....
