in Chinese , it's pronounced as 'lan' which refers to the mist that surrounds the mountains

arashistorm @ JPM has written up a report on sho at NY today:

I didn't get in. In fact many to most fans I met couldn't get in. I saw him for about 1 minute in total, I think, and I just waited the whole day. Everything was just so unorganized, so the staff got mad.

The original plan they had was to have sho and the director come out to the booth and talk at 2:45. Then tickets were going to be handed out at 3. But tickets didn't guarantee a seat at the premiere, they were going to give more than than they had seats so it would be full.

So I get there at 8 and wait 5 hrs until it opens at 1. There were a lot of other fans there, at least 50 around where I was. Then when the door opened we all rushed to the nikkatsu booth and crowded around there. I heard there were about 200 ppl there waiting to get tickets and see sho. But they weren't going to hand out tickets until 3 so we all just waited there all crammed and confused for 2 more hours. They handed out some tickets, I heard, but I think there mightv/couldve been anywhere from 5 to 30 tickets handed out to the ppl in the front but some ppl started pushing and they stopped giving out tickets really quick.

And it was too unsafe for sho to come out to the booth, obviously, so they announced that he would be in a windowed suite room that overlooked the floor and that he'd wave to us for 15 min. So we all crowded around there too and waited for him about 15 min. When he came out, I think there was a ntv camera that was with them and he looked surprised but happy to see so many fans there. A group of girls sang arashi and he kinda bent down to hear it and did the hand motions with us at the end. But he just waved and was there for only a min.

He wasnt going to the panel, so the ppl headed to the theater because we heard that ppl without tickets are able to get in if the seats don't get filled. We waited another 2 hrs. Then sho arrived in a limo, facing us and the light was turned on inside so we could see his face. He looked bewildered. Mostly cuz there was a stupid ***** who ran along side the car right in front of him screaming and waving her uchiwa while all of the rest of us stood on the sidewalk and cheered. Then I went further forward cuz he got out of the limo and was walking to the theater and I couldn't see him at all where I was. I saw a glimpse of his head.

Then we waited for another 20 min to see if ther were any seats open. I think maybe 10 ppl got in a little by little.

It was cool that I met a lot of fans, but it wasnt work all the time and money IMO. There was little info, guarantee and organization basically the only ppl who got in were press ppl and guests and ppl who won it online some time ago.

I didnt even see the director. Ppl got pissed at us. I waited for almost nothing the whole day. And now I'm sure that ppl online are going to call us stupid for all the chaos and dissappointment. The press got to take pics of him and ask him questions up close and get into the premiere. So we will have to wait for their reports to hear anything adequate or interesting

i guess, it sucks that these events hardly go smoothly, though. it was FREEEEZING in NY today, though. and i was half asleep the whole day, so i'd never enjoy myself if i went anyway, lol. sorry sho! now we should just wait for some news coverage.

that kinda reminds me of KAT-TUN in Los Angeles for the Little Miss Tokyo event. but, since it was so unorganized, fans were able to pass through security and bombard the guys, lol. they were in a car though.

...i regret not going. but i wasn't a big fan of them yet. and Junno wasn't there. xD;;

that was because he got called to replace Uchi Hiroki in the j-drama "Ganbatte Ikkimashoi" due to his underage drinking scandal. Junno was supposed to go~

i would think the New York thing would've been more organized since both Sakurai Sho & Takashi Miike were there. i mean, come on, it's Takashi Miike. xD;;

What a disappointment to those who went and waited for a long time, isn't it? I feel sorry for them. Since it was such a big event, they should have made it more organized and expected that something like this would happen.

Ugh - that sucks. They never seem to organize events for asian stars right! I totally wanna see the movie though, that sucks that that person didn't get in.

and omg - New Halves on HnA!! I love those episodes. Japanese New Halves are always so pretty - so much more pretty than those over here. And why is DAIGO here again? He creeps me out.
