ayaka provides a song for Kudo Shizuka

To commemorate the 25th anniversary since her solo debut, singer Kudo Shizuka will be releasing a new single titled “Kimi ga Kureta Mono” on October 17th.

“Kimi ga Kureta Mono” was written and composed by singer-songwriter ayaka. This marks her first time providing a song for another artist. The song is described as a medium-tempo ballad that conveys the theme “to think about an important person”. ayaka commented, “Since this is my first time providing a song, I’m nervous, but I was very moved after hearing Kudo-san sing it.”

Kudo expressed, “The completed song is wonderful, and I like it very much myself. I want many people to listen to it.” The singer will also hold a 25th anniversary concert on November 4th at Billboard Live Tokyo in Akasaka.

also contain her collaboration song with Kobukuro, “Anata to“, and an English version of “Mikazuki“, which was recorded in 2005 before her debut.

The album will come with a DVD that will include the original music video for “Mikazuki”, her performance from a label convention live in November of 2005, and footage from her fan club event in 2008.

Wait...who's Tatsuro Yamashita? I don't think I haven't heard of him... (after all, the top two are just "best" albums, then there's an American band that we're familiar, and the best of the non-best Japanese albums would be SCANDAL; BEAST and U-KISS are, I think, Korean...)

Mikazuki (English version) is really lovely to listen to. You can hear her accent but it is still a beautiful song.

EDIT: Apparently, Mikazuki (2005 English ver.) is now available on iTunes USA as a digital single.
