Lady Dynamite is just so BORING! Seems to be the general consensus and I agree. It never kicks off.

The best part about lady dynamite is the instrumental hook. I don't find the PV very interesting and the song pretty sun of the mill ayu album track, though not her best. It's just ok, and that sadly doesen't cut it when the other songs on the same album appeal to me so much more. =)

I don't get the reference to "Her gay themed PVs" though, I thought there was just one, Lady dynamite which has lots of references to contemporary western culture that is labeled as gay.

GREEN can be interpreted in a number of ways and not necessarily mainly as being a gay themed pv IMO, especially considering the view on genders in japanese culture. Consider the theatrical tradition where men used to take on female roles, but also contemporary stuff like the all female theater (whose name I cannot remember), yaoi aimed at women, themed host bars where women dressed as men serve female clients in the rolse of men to take the sexual tention away etc. None of the above can acurately be described as a part of "gay" culture from a modern western pespective, as they are completely outside of that realm.

Ayu was a party girl after all. I wouldn't be surprised if the PV is representative of what she does on her down-time. My problem with the Lady D haters, especially when it came out, is that they sometimes express this notion that Ayu is someway devalued or tainted because she did a club PV with gay men. There's nothing wrong with clubs, dancing, gay men or drag queens. Now some critiqued the editing, that I feel is consistent with her gay PVs. GREEN was also poorly edited in my opinion, but it's still one of her best regardless.

The song, well... I don't agree with the general consensus of this forum most of the time. I think the most boring upbeat song Ayu has is my name's WOMEN. *yaaaaaaaaaaawn* The PV was cool though LOL.

omg I couldn't agree with you more.
I never get the hate for Lady Dinamyte too. And I never found anything over the top on it to be honest . I rather prefer a club PV when she's having fun than a dramatic PV when she's fake crying.
And my name's WOMEN song is really boring. Too bad 'cause the PV was awesome.

Back ontopic; I cannot wait to hear the full sequence of progress. I'm still madly in love with the preview (Tales of Xillia ~trailer). This is really the reason why I am excited for this album XD.

Something fast, a little epic, a little mysterious and glam. But not Lady Dynamite LD is a little rockish (but I dont like the song, it's too slow and kinda boring) and Brilliante makes me think of something mix of classical and electro-pop. But we will see.

and my name's WOMEN has a fierceness that Lady Dynamite would kill for. How can anyone not love my name's WOMEN is beyond me but like Lady Dynamite of all songs!? my name's WOMEN has that badass instrumental hook (way more badass than the boring Lady Dynamite hook) and it flows so well and you know when the chorus is on and etc, etc. I will not go on but my name's WOMEN is bomb and Lady Dynamite is a joke.

I think it's just a different tastes matter . Sometimes I'm feeling tired after listening to my name's WOMEN it seems way longer than 5:40 minutes.

Anyway to back on topic, I'd really like more promotion for this mini-album. I mean more magazines shoots, ads and live performances. But I think it will not happen :/ she lacks of promotions these days.

i am a fan for my name's WOMEN too! party ayu is not a problem but LD is just too shallow while my name's WOMEN has a fierceness and ayu-is-the-queen style. i even enjoy seeing those gayish dancers lol.

progress is the most anticipated song/PV to me in this mini album!
