new album "A ONE" 2015.04.08 in stores V

I came to the album fully ready to drag The Show Must Go On. I had good reasons too! The YEAH YEAH YEAH bits are some of the shrillest things ever, it's a carbon copy of snowy kiss and I may love that song but do we really need another, and why SUCH INTENSITY in a song that's basically a love letter to fans? Then the song started, and it was even more of a mess than I was expecting (Check those random yells in the chorus!)... and then I fell completely in love with it. I can still hear the problematic parts but I can't even get mad, the damn song totally works! I love the frantic feeling, I LOVE the arrangement, I get totally pumped when listening, I really wanna sing along... This sounds like it would be awesome when heard live.

You win this round, Ayu. THE SHOW MUST GO ON!

Aside from that, I need some more time to digest the album, but I already love NO FUTURE and liked WARNING a lot more than back when the previews came out.

I get so pumped up when i listen to The Show Must Go On, it was a great idea to put it after Story~The GIFT

I don't know how the market works but I'm afraid just because fans like it doesn't mean people will buy it, although the addition of moving on without you was a good marketing idea (on the other hand it was already released on CD).

I don't expect high sales even though I love the album (of course I wish to be wrong).

Being out there in CMs and on the radio helps a lot. Visibility coupled with airplay all over the place will get you sales. However, it has to be with the right tracks, I guess?

^ I actually asked a Japanese friend (ayu fan) how the other artists are able to keep their sales up and generally being in focus.

She said that you really have to go to tv shows, being in the media, represent brands, and generally just selling yourself. She said that the Japanese fans feel that Ayu doesn't really care anymore, she rather be in America and have fun. Some seem kinda butthurt.

I found the only thing that bothers me with A ONE songs, it's that they always use the same "bells" sound at the beginning of almost every song, it's the exact same sound everytime, it's nice for a song a two but when it's used everytime it becomes annoying and useless.

Won't Listen to the album until I get my physical copy but I'm glad to see the positive response here, makes me think this is a good purchase ^^ Just sad that she'll 100% won't get #1 on oricon since fukuyama masaharu is releasing a dam cover album on that day

I really love A ONE!!!

I LOVE the up beat tracks.
I thought that Anything for you would just be a drag becuse it's 7 minutes long but I atually like the bulid up through the song (and I like the similarity to Walk).

NO FUTURE is my favorite!!
But as I said I also really really liked WARNING, The Show Must Go On and Out of control.
The Gift is my favorite of the new ballads. Story is nice.

I wonder if A ONE is like a "reboot" or a present A Song for xx. A lot of aspects are the same, like the loneliness theme and the print on the CD itself.
