I like Utopia but Femme Fatale is way better imo. My favorite new tracks are BURN and 私の名はイノセンス.

Femme Fatale song is the kind of dramatic downtempo I like a lot. I also love BURN so much.

Femme Fatale is really good and definitely what I needed from her.
Apart from Don't Let Me Down I especially love some of the albums songs. Like 私の名はイノセンス. The album debuts at #7 today on Oricon.

Hot DAMN Femme Fatale is good! I think it immediately became my favourite album of hers, was not expecting that.
Quote:
On Utopia, I was the most impressed with Shoujo Jidai and wished she'd lean more into that style, and it feels like that's what she did on this album. I love that she went a little more hip hop and a little more dark than she's done on the last few albums. Favourite songs: - Femme Fatale, impressive dramatic downtempo, can't put it any better. - I'm liking I HATE YOU even more now than when it came out, it energizes the album nicely in the beginning, and it's a really catchy song with a nice gritty sound. - Watashi no Na wa Innocence is AMAZING! The song most reminiscent of Shoujo Jidai, but fully its own entity; the beat is great and the whole arrangement is so lush and pretty; the way Miliyah goes up, then down, and down, and down again at the end - ugh, PERFECTION! - Anata wa mada Ai wo Shiranai is so slow and so captivating. It feels a little formless in the beginning, but it makes you stick with it, and though it doesn't finish with an explosive climax, the ending is sooo satisfying. - Kao mo Mitakunai gives me some 2015 EMI MARIA EUPHORIA vibes and I love it! A really cool song. - Don't Let Me Down's slightly more organic sound is a nice addition to the album. I love Miliyah's vocals on this song, and it's a really nice, heartfelt one. - BURN? Stunning, chilling. Gives me a little throwback to how I felt hearing Reisei to Jounetsu no Aida for the first time back in 2014, but this is even better. Another perfect downtempo and dramatic track. I love how the vocal melody and most of the instrumentation is slow and dramatic but the fast drums under everything bring a frantic and hasty feeling, the contrast gives the song an exciting and dynamic feel. So yeah, I think this is absolutely one of Miliyah's best albums, and one of the best things released this year. I hope this impression sticks on repeated listening. |

Does anyone have a CD-rip of the Utopia tour and is willing to share? Those rearrangements are delish!

Liberty was on instagram's music. Now they deleted it. How do they dare to do me such thing?
That album is gold btw. Femme fatale was a step forward from utopia, but still didn't top Liberty. |

^ I agree. But still pissed her label isn't making Femme Fatale available for Spotify users outside Japan!

Baidu is reporting a new single coming 05/29, 2 editions.
Nothing on her official site yet, but they're usually right.

Woooooo, Miliyah released a statement today on her official site:
![]() She married a non-celebrity and is becoming a mother in summer! She states she's going to give her best for her family and the music world. Congrats!

Oh wow. Another surprising turn of events. It sounds like she doesn't plan on retirement, which is good. I hope she has a happy and safe pregnancy, and good marriage.
