that's because PLAY is quite dated it was released nearly 10 years ago. But, to me, it still holds up as one of her best albums. I still listen to every track minus Should I Love Him and Hello (I used to love that song but I listened to it too much and now can't stand the sound of WAIT FOR THE BEEP AND DO YOUR THING. Ugh.) I mean, the fact she still performs half these songs at concerts says a lot. Funky Town. Hide & Seek. Top Secret. Violet Sauce. I remember Full Moon at a more recent one though I can't remember which. I personally really wish she'd perform Baby Don't Cry more. When was the last time she performed that? O.o

I rarely listen to Uncontrolled. I love Yeah-Oh and Go Round but the single versions are better.
Feel and _genic are miles better for me.

Uncontrolled is one of my least favorite albums from her and it's weird because individually there are some awesome tracks on there. But I didn't like the new versions of the singles and Hot Girls, Sit stay etc., let's go, were just so-so.

PLAY I also feel in general is just so-so and overall a bit overrated. For Post 2007 albums, I rank them Feel>P/F>>>>_genic>>PLAY>>>>>>>>Uncontrolled.

I'd have to say that the one Namie album I saw the most copies of in all resale stores in Japan was Uncontrolled. I was tempted to say the least but other than Naked and Yeah-oh I really hate that album lol

I adore PAST/FUTURE it's a shame COPY THAT wasn't a single.

I don't listen to Uncontrolled anymore, and I do think it was a bad choice rearranging the singles. Break It for instance lost a lot of its punch from the single version.

But well, Break It and Go Round are still on my playlist.

Actually Past<Future and Uncontrolled are my favourite albums by her. A golden era for me. Before and after I just like certain songs from albums and singles.

Its still an timeless album...I rather call it old school than dated, but she does a good thing keeping them updated in her lives.

aaah! That was the word(s) I was trying to think of when replying to that earlier quote. It's been driving me insane all day. Yes, PLAY is definitely old school...

...though I can still remember it clearly being released. Oh God, I'm only 23 and already part of the old school era.

Uncontrolled was a weird album but I enjoy it. Get Myself Back is one of my favorite Namie songs. FEEL is still the best though.
