The album is really solid overall, the flow's a mess but I think it's kinda expected seeing how he saw the release of the album to be. If anything, I think he kinda intended it to be messy in terms of the sounds. But I really enjoyed it!

Not very surprised on Aimyon's answer as SENTIMENTALovers is still highly regarded up to now & somemore it's Ken's best selling studio album to date

As for the new album tracks in Anata ni Narita Katta , I don't know if it's a coincidence that most of them are upbeat except for Oyasuminasai

Sound consistency wise , THE STILL LIFE is still a bit better

I was never a big fan of Ken Hirai. I like a few songs and admire his unarguably talent, but his last album totally hit me! Beautiful ballads and cool and unique upbeat songs. I'm loving it!

Yeah had a hard time getting into him too, but THE STILL LIFE and its singles got me.

It's never too late to get into Ken's music

His music catalogue is real extensive but his 2 Utabaka best albums are a good place to start

For the 4 CDs version of Utabaka 2 , the 1st 3 CDs consolidates 42nd singles of Ken ie. til Non Fiction while the 4th CD could have been a standalone Ken studio album as 10 different artistes contribute their personal music expertise & made it a great listen

I was a bit surprised when Ken included Boku no Kokoro o Tsukutte yo & Non Fiction in Anata ni Narita Katta as they were already in Utabaka 2

But I like both songs & Non Fiction is 1 of Ken's most personal songs he wrote to date , alongside with others like PAUL & Shashin

I haven't finished watching the whole thing yet but Cooking with Ken needs to be a thing. This is top quality comedy and I'm loving every second of it.

Yeah the comical aspects of V.I.P. ―Hirai Ken― is unexpected but so downright hilarious

Up to now some still view Ken as boring but in reality he's very funny without coming as though he try hard being funny
