^opinion is ok, but "Sux" and "hate Ayu" or any thing like that is really not welcomed here.
Keishi's made another thread to praise glitter/fated. Show wat? Ppl really get hurt when others keep saying bad things bout something they love/like.

Think the situation is you overheard your auntie bashing your mom and here you like Ayu when some guys said she is the suckiest artist in the world.

I am serious, I do think Ayu is someone precious like my mama

actually fated is sometimes relli good too...depends wat mood i am in lol, i relli like Ayu's voice in glitter~

LOL Ayu's voice was barely hear-able on glitter with all those instrumentations. Probably the high quality rips can prove me wrong. I think I prefer fated to the "fairyland ~episode 99091382931~" glitter.
But still...I hate when they blend the first verse to the chorus. Remember the Kaidan trailer? When they gives a short silence before the chorus (todokanai...) it sounds like...very climaxing XD
But now they ruined it. :<

I still like it though...just not...omfggonnabuythissingleluvitverymuch like.

No idea, but it seems to be getting a bit too dramatic. Seriously if you don't like the music - that's okay but don't create a whole melodrama out of it. Just express your opinions/thoughts once and move on. The others who don't agree - just leave them be. You can't expect some people to like everything, or even force them. Everyone has a different opinion and tastes. I'm seriously sick of all the crybabies and bickering.

On the brighter side, if you don't like what you're reading - the power key is usually a the biggest one on your tower

And Ayu's cd sales are going down.....(of course the quality of the music isn't the only reason for that though, but I do suspect it is part of it.)

Exactly. I don't think when people say stuff like "I want another Surreal or another alterna" that they mean they want another song that SOUNDS like those, but that they want a song that is going to give them the same feeling after a first listen that those songs gave - the WOW feeling. That's not easy to produce with every single, but I hate it when people here gush over a single that is pretty average by Ayu standards and then wonder what went wrong when the sales figures come out and they are below expectations.

What's been bugging me most about Glitter is when the instrumental comes in and then after words the chorus starts to repeat with just Ayu and then the full blown chorus comes in. It bothers me because they used the same technique in Blue Bird, fairyland, Greatful Days, and angel's song(although it doesn't stand out to me as much in angel's song.)

I agree to some extent, but isn't this a discussion board? Shouldn't discussions and debates so long as they are on topic and civil be allowed, if not encouraged? Otherwise it would be pretty boring I think.

Ummm since Bold & Delicious, ayu's singles sales only goes up.
Even for albums, both A BEST 2 sold more than Secret... and the sales are great, they don't have to be million to be good sales, and almost no one hits million anymore.

offtopic, but isn't it weird how cd sales are much higher in the US, where digital downloading is hugely popular?

anyway, here are my thoughts on the two songs...

Glitter:
Ehh, it's a bit unoriginal. the arrangement is good and fun, but the composition is kinda like a few other summer-y songs. i don't like the engrish in the verse (sounds like YES I BELIEVE IN LOVE) but overall i like it. i would love to see it performed in her next arena tour...tv performances don't have the same power and energy...

Much better than Glitter to me...i love the arrangement! the sounds before the words are so cool! i like how this song isn't so dark. I could imagine a PV like Forgiveness's...the chorus is really good too...there's a lot of potential for a intricate peformance of this song...i can't wait for the PV!!!

I can't remember the songs that well anymore and I made a promise not to listen to these MQ files for more than one time, but I'm starting to get desperate. :'(
And I now like that the single is titled glitter/fated and not GLITTER/fated. It would make fated seem so unimportant while, in fact, it is not.

^Why isn't it important? I even hear it more than glitter! I think it's quite an amazing ballad! and it's A-side as well xD unless if it feels to you it's not important.

And from the spoiler thingy, it feels like is says it's wrong to like ayu's songs a lot and like them in a WOW rate.

I think people deserve to like them at WOW rate as much as the people that don't like the songs.

Meanwhile people complain that other people don't let themeselves to be expressed, I see complaints about people who actually really like the songs and it's wrong exactly the same.

People can like the songs at WOW rate and people can dislike them, let each other express themeselves and stop complaining at each other, it goes in circles.

what I said (for the first time ever)was a "complaint" totally different thing... you don't see me complaining about whiners all over the forum, but you do see a lot of ppl whinning about the same thing over and over again.

An opinion can always be well accepted but not always everyone will think like you, some members get defensive towards Loving/hating something, and is not right to make generalizations like:
"this is the worst son EVER EVER" and "this is the greatest song EVER"
becasue these 2 sentences are the ones that create the controversy IMO, they forget to add the "to me" and I like I mention above if you show love/hate towards anything ayu does, some ppl will attack you because they feel their word is superior to everyone else's or some are just freakyfans that won't let go! (like the ones that took down the uncyclopedia of ayu and koda u_u) and in special cases they just want to create controversy making this false statements with sarcasm and I bet you have seen lots of this? and how much drama it creates right?

When it comes to tastes of ppl, this is will be always changing, ayu is not made at the coca-cola company where there is a specific and magic "formula" so that everyone will enjoy her.

and on her sales... I didn't start to like ayu because of her sales...so I could care less if her numbers go up or down or in between... I know some ppl enjoy talking about percents and statistics and sales... but I don't. so not much to say there

that's the structure of the song since all of ayu songs are like that you can hear that in dearest too. I realize it from MY STORY, but it dosen't bother me now, beacuase I like the final work!.

hide and seek is winning over at my tunes with 142 so far xD but glitter, fated, and wonder boy of kanjani8 will be my highest songs ever! I will make sure of that!
