She'd already finished Startin' and Born To Be... along with (miss)understood. Though I wonder if the case is the same with these two songs? They both seem to have been finished some time ago.

Yeah, I'm quite certain they were done during the recording of the album, especially for them to be in CMs already, and sounding pretty complete. She's working well with everything I think; for all we know these songs could've potentially been on Rock'n'Roll Circus and she had to pick, and maybe decided these would be best a single or something for a future album.

With the speed and efficiency she's working I really wouldn't be surprised if she really is away some place to film a summery PV for MOON or blossom.

I think this single will be out about mid to late July.

Since we got some chaku-uta of MOON with the Rock'n'Roll Circus album, I would say at least the basic recording of MOON was done. What's left probably is editing and/or mastering etc.

I do hope I'm wrong about the previews, not like i can hear much, but i don't like the sound of the previews. I remember really disliking the preview for green in the camera commercial but then the full song leaked and it's now one of my faves. lol

^ lol @ a Sexy little things acoustic version.. that'd be so weird. An acoustic orchestra version of Microphone OR You were... would be amazing to me. I have a feeling if she were to have an acoustic orchestra version on the single she'd pick meaning of Love though since it's so popular.

ugh please. no rock songs, no ballads, and no "typical" summer ayu songs. really getting tired of them. she's been on this "rock" kick ever since guilty, and i don't want any ballads since the last few singles had them, (days, sunset, you were, ballad). but apparently moon is a "medium ballad" or something like that, so that throws that out the window.

So what exactly are you looking for? Dance-like tracks?

I find the recent selections of songs quite interesting because they vary, and with different songs to fit different sort of situations and times. Summer feels like its for fun songs, friends, the beach and maybe a summer romance; Winter is cold, often depicted as sad, a time for remembrance of the past year, of love and life. The rock songs add awesome kicks and fits in all seasons, which is great.

I'd be happy if she stuck with rock, I'd also be happy if she stuck with fun summery songs, or with sad or nostalgic ballads. Not much of a fan of the dance tracks, or extremely pop-like songs, though I'll admit there are a decent amount of hers that I enjoy but it really just because the types of releases follow a format, doesn't mean the release itself will be boring because its supposedly like all the others.

I don't want a rock song on there either. I wouldn't mind another ballad though. I want an emotional ballad though, not a sweet one this time. Something HANABI or HANABI ep 2-ish.

I'd definitely agree with that; something like HANABI would be perfect!

you're basically right there showing how generic she's becoming. There's nothing original about having tons of summer, happy, dance with friends, good time at the beach songs/pvs, and tons of sad, emotional, alone, cold, dark winter songs/pvs. If she did do something dancey, that would be a change of pace for her, not having summer/winter songs that "sound somewhat different from each other."

if it is a ballad i want it to be like hanabi 2. something (like the video) showing raw emotion and just crying and having her be an emotion wreck in the video while singing the song. none of this "ah, this is a very sweet ballad, lalala, wee watch me smile!" I want "oh goooood *cry cry cry sniffle scream cry cry*!!!"

If doing what you do best musically is generic, then isn't every freaking artist out there generic in some way? I would say that Ayu making music she wants to create, but when it's a single, she can't be as free because singles kind of have to have a commercial appeal. Songs like alterna / Will don't really resonate with the public I think, and that's partly why she never performed them live during the promotional periods for the singles' releases. There's very little imo that Ayu hasn't done once, but I think if she treads into "new/interesting" territory with every single, people wouldn't be satisfied with that, saying that she shouldn't do something different from what she's good at just for the sake of doing it or something.

My beef with people is that they say things, and then she goes and does it (see: Do something different, release a dance-ish album, make a new M, etc...) and people complain because it's not really what they were envisioning. She is basically delivering everything fans have wanted/wished for in the past and for some fans, that still isn't enough because she isn't making their personal dream songs. It's rather selfish imo and places really weird (individual for each listener) expectations upon Ayu, and if she doesn't fulfill them, then she's crap because she isn't doing what you want her to do.

Remember NEXT LEVEL last year? That didn't bode so well for a lot of listeners even though a ton of people were looking forward to a super electro-dance album. "Blah, it sounds so... amateur!"

A lot of her recent popular songs are more on the generic side. Ugh Japan. Why must you ignore awesome songs like GREEN, BALLAD, and Sexy little things? But oh well, even the "generic" songs aren't bad to me, except for Days.

I love that song. It's so depressing. I love those depressing summer ballads, fated is really good too.
