Perfume’s “Spring of Life” music box appears in Shibuya

A huge pink box named “Perfume Haru no Hako” has appeared in front of Shibuya 109.

An approximately 4 meters square box, with monitors playing “Spring of Life“, Perfume’s new single, will hit the store on April 11th. In the meantime, it is being displayed out front. On the box there is a message “This is a ‘Haru no Hako’. Please connect your earphones. This is Perfume’s spring song and spring voice in here.” To make the lines rhyme, the message said “Spring song and Spring Voice”, but actually it’s Perfume’s own voices.

There are 40 earphone plugs on the wall and fans can listen “Spring of Life”. Three of the 40 total earphone plugs, have rare comments directly from Perfume’s A-chan, Kashiyuka and Nocchi. Using Twitter to reach tell fans of this unique event, a packed crowd gathered in front of Shibuya109.

“Haru no Hako” was set up outside for 2 days only, April 7th and 8th.

I finally received my copy of the limited edition version of "Spring of Life" as well as the poster! I love the fact that it's incased in the cardboard sleeve although it was a bit hard to remove at first. I also would have preferred a resealable plastic wrap but it's not that big of a deal. The front and backcovers of the single are gorgeous as well as the picture on the back of the booklet. I like them all better than the cover used for the sleeve but I like that picture as well. The poster is super gorgeous and I'm so happy that it's a different photo than the cover as they usually use one of the single cover shots for the poster. They're all beautiful but A-Chan really stood out to me on this poster (usually Kashiyuka is the stand out girl for me most of the time but A-Chan completely stole my attention this time, lol). Anyways, I can't wait to hear the single although I'll have to wait since I'm studying for my final now.

I always wondered that ... do they normally sing in their performances or is it lip synching? I just follow them loosely and considering that their voices are altered I wouldn't be surprised.

They sing with the mic turned way down. So basically, lipsyncing.

Sometimes if you're paying attention, you can hear their actual voices making the song go off pitch.
