Yeah...I'm surprised she's flying private jet! But I think it's because she doesn't want to worry about transferring...and ever since JAL pulled out its LA-Osaka service, there seems to be no one that are willing to fly that route - not even ANA or Delta...

She might not OWN a private jet, she could be chartering one. It's like $20,000-$50,000 each way to do that (per flight depending on the size of the plane, not per person, so it's probably not that much more expensive than a commercial first class flight depending on how many people she brings with her)

She's probably the richest (or definitely in the top 3 at least) celebrity in Asia, so money's not a problem. But I think Deli made a good point with the price of her entourage flying with her on the first class being almost the same as renting a jet. Plus that way she can fly when ever.

I wonder if avex has to foot the bill for all of this. All the round trip plane tickets for her staff (dancers and so on) from Japan to go back and forth since she lives in LA now are probably adding up too.
