I think this version is missing the 'oomph' that the original had, tbh. And it sounds a bit tinny, especially when she tries to hit some of the higher notes. I don't think we knew that Hakase Taro (legendary violinist; involved in Mika's Oborozukiyo ~ Inori album) was going to be featured on the track, so that was a nice surprise.

The PV put me to sleep, but gotdamn does she look gorgeous. That first dress is flawless (eww to the bodice shape of the second one), and I'm gonna need a hair tutorial for that style STAT. Somebody help a girl out!!!

Also, I'm surprised avex put up the FULL VIDEO as they keep putting up like 50-60 second clips all the time to try and get even more people to buy the releases with the DVD/Bluray included.

I usually love Hakase Taro's violin playing... But this time around idk it didn't work for me. The original I was never fond of; so this version is a nice change-up. I feel like I can actually listen to it.

Love this version!! which is basically the Dome Tour 2012 live with Hakase's violin.
2014 voice > 1997 voice.

The video is going to be a classic just like the original one. Simple and elegant, but I also love the contrast with the older one.

Can You Celebrate new version has a gorgeous arrangement but Namie's voice is kind of weak and plain for this song.. She's really beautiful in the pv. But overall it's much more enjoyable than the 1997 original version.

I have watched all new PVs on facebook and they're fucking gorgeous. I can't wait for this album to be released. Seriously. :3

I also loved Namie's voice in CAN YOU CELEBRATE? She sang it similarly as she did in 1997, but it was also different because her voice is different and much, much lower than it used to be. It was still epic. I was more bothered by the violin which was at some points way too louder than her voice imo, but I got used to it by the time song ended. :p

I'm totally in love with the new version of CAN YOU CELEBRATE? - both the PV and the vocals. It's amazing, really. Contrail Ballada ver. is alright. I prefer the original though. I don't really care for the re-recording for SWEET 19 BLUES. Sounds pretty alright.

tbh I'm a bit disappointed with the new arrangements for CAN YOU CELEBRATE?, and I find the background music too loud...

She should release an acapella version of CAN YOU CELEBRATE?, I would love it to death.
