omg I travel for one week and now Kuu is marriyng AND pregnant? I really can't let this girl alone I was very shocked when I saw all those news, but I'm also happy, I can just hope this baby and Kenji will complete her life and make her even happier, she deserves all love in the world

Namie was on a hiatus for a year. She made her comeback in late 1998 (Haruto was born in May 1998). It did take two years to release GENIUS 2000 though. Not saying that Kuu might take two years to release her next album, but I had to mention it anyway, lol. :3

Man, I can't wait for JAPONESQUE. Last night I also got a urge to listen Dejavu. I didn't because it was really late but maybe I will later today XD

It took 5 years to Namie get back to her own style, after Haruto's birth she was with a whole new "concept", covered from head to toe, with dark hair...

^ Namie kept to her guns and although it wasn't popular at first, her new style prevailed and she made a great comeback in recent years I'm really happy for her~ I wonder if motherhood and marriage will change Koda's outlook on her music.

I can see Kuu pausing her career for one year and then coming back slowly. Another good idea would be having another child right after this one, so she would not have to stop her career a second time to take care of her kids. Also I don't think that this kid or the marriage will bring big chances to the "Koda Kumi Image", since Kuu said on that letter that Kenji accepts her a whole as so on, but probably she'll have more mature songs, like ballads not only about love, but also about life, kindness and making the world a better place.

I was excited for JAPONESQUE Tour because of that, but now...
She's happy and that's what matter. And she'll be a great mom, for sure.

@tenshi no hane: I think it don't looks good to a recent mom wear little outfits and shaking her ass off (especially for the japanese media)... It's not something that she can't do, of course she can, but it'll take a little of time (maybe 2 or 3 years).

I feel that she won't change that much after have the baby, it'll be something like after her scandal, with black hair and more serious looks.

Uhm, hi! Have you met Namie Amuro? Didn't she get back with that like within a year after her child was born? Noone thinks she's a horrible mother.

Kuu also wrote in her message that Kenji respects her for the one she is, meaning, he doesn't bother if she keeps her image. An image she seems happy to keep. If she WANTS to still be smokin' hot, I think she will be. Family or kids doesn't really make her to stop. The only reason I can come up with that would make her stop is just the fact that she feels so happy and relaxed with family life that she chooses to go somewhere else than sexy lane. Maybe just stop grabing her boobs 24/7 on stage. But I don't think she will change dramasticly. Not because she have to.

I don't think she'll let go of her ero-kakkoi style, it's not like she thinks her baby is going to be ashamed of her style in the future, she already has many bold videos, stopping now won't change a thing. She has not been "that" kind of ero-kakkoii since 2007. Her new sexy style has been a better mix of mature + trashy, rather than just straight out trashy. I can see her sticking with this style for her dance music like she usually does.

I honestly don't see Kuu changing, because I think that sexy + mature + cool is just who she is. I know that part of it is Koda Kumi the Artist, but she created the image herself. And I don't think she ever said she didn't like doing ero-kakkoii, but I do remember her saying that she wanted to try new things. If anything, the whole sexy mom thing is coming into style in Japan. Gyaru are becoming popular and they usually become moms young and are still sexy, so they have magazines like I love mama for this reason. If anything Kuu would help popularize this trend, maybe starting kakkoii-mama style or something. That's what I can see Kuu doing. Taking ero-kakkoii to the next level. Not changing her image, evolving it.
