To me, it just seems like Ayu doesn't really have to proove herself anymore, or at least that seems to be what she thinks. That's why there isn't so much promotion and what not...

She was really big for a while, she was everywhere, she made it really big. Now she's just enjoying making her own music and having fun.

I just realized that with this release Ayu will cross the 50 million cds officially sold in japan (according to Avex I think she has allready ^^) and will become the first (and probably the only before long time) solo artist to achieve this feat !!!

I read somewhere she has sold 52 + million copies in japan alone.

Um yeah 50m without the DVD sales, they're not counted on the overall CD sales. That's why last year Ayu broke a record for having the highest DVD sales for a female artist (but was broken by AKB), therefore DVDs have their own sales/charts.

Anyway I can see ASB landing on the top 10 of Oricon weekly except for #1. lol j/k

im just talking about album sales. She broke the 50 million mark years ago.
As for AKB, they dont count in Ayumi's category because they are a group act, ayumi is solo.

I made a playlist with all the A SUMMER BEST songs in order and I must say it flows really well. Even Happening Here sounds acceptable after NEXT LEVEL. I suppose this is one of the few things this album does correctly. Now I'm even considering buying the 2CD version.

In that TV special they had a few months ago said she had already passed the 50 million mark. (before she sold Party Queen... not that that added a lot of sales)

ayu's compilation albums always had a great flow since they are organized not in a chronicle way (except for AC though because of ayu's vocals changes the flow wasn't too bad).

A BEST was mostly chronological (just minus the first and last songs).

The card-concept has been around since the CDL era, no? It's not new, but, yes, I agree that it's a bad decision. A remix and a making-of would have been able to compensate for the lack of...awesomeness...the CD-DVD tracklists have.
