I never really liked LOVEppears but it keeps growing on me. But I actually really love appears and monochrome, though I hated them at first

I think I've never listened to immature until the end xD As well as "too late"... To me, many of the songs on LOVEppears are quite forgettable. And ugh, I wish they included "Love ~destiny~" instead of "Love~refrain~", which I can't really stand x.x

too late is one of Ayu's best songs. It's really disappointing that you think LOVEppears is forgettable. I think it's one of her most memorable albums.

Tbh I even like Party Queen more than LOVEppears

But yeah, LOVEppears does have a few of my favourite songs, like monochrome, End roll, appears, Who, TO BE.

And well okay, when I think about it, only 3 songs on LOVEppears are forgettable imo, so yeah I was mistaken xD Though when I just became and Ayu fan this album WAS forgettable to me for a while.

Every time someone says they hate LOVEppears, it makes me shake my head in disbelief. Seriously, this album is the flawless shit. Definitely one of the best Ayu albums ever made♥

And what comes to GUILTY, well... I used to appreciate the album a lot when I was obsessed with rock music years ago but today I just can't stand listening to it. Only few songs on the album still stand out to me (Marionette, Together When..., GUILTY and talkin' 2 myself) but others feel so boring in my ears. Hell, these days I even like A Song for xx more! D:

If it weren't for Vogue and fucking Girlish (WORSE than the whole Party Queen album, btw) it'd be perfect. And ever free is one of THE best songs in Ayu's discography. In fact, its up there with RAINBOW, Asfxx, Memorial Address and forgiveness.

I am... seems like watered down rock. The only things saving it are NEVER EVER and Daybreak. And don't get me started on the snoozefest that the 2nd half of the album is.

lol. never ever and daybreak for me were the weakest parts of the album! And then ending is what makes it.
M, a song is born dearest, no more words, endless sorrow (although i love the single version more)... it was just such a great way to end the power infused epic beginning...

love everything about the album... even the weak links.

I'm a sucker for ballads but the second half of the album feels like a really long ballad in itself, sort of how in MY STORY the last few songs just blend together. I'll give you No More Words, because when I listened to it separately from the album I found it really pretty.

The biggest problem with that album is the stark difference between the singles/pop songs and the "rock" songs. Most of the albums songs (even Daybreak) sound really rough and remind me of demos. The singles and pop songs are very polished and sound great (Naturally especially).
To me it just created this huge dissonance in quality and cohesiveness that the album is unlistenable as a whole. Ayu has albums with different genres in which every song is on the same level (best example is (m)u), so this just ruins everything.

RAINBOW tho... that's her best album from that era. Real me sucks so hard, but everything else on it is what I expected I am... to be from the singles.

Because I am IS amazing... lol. :p
I am is just a great mixture of everything and it show cases what ayumi can truly do, not just lyrically.

(miss)understood at time of release was the beginning of the end for me... lol.
My Story was just a HUGE disappointment for me that I was very critical of (miss) and it didn't fail me. HUGE disappointment.

But after years of listening to it I have either brainwashed myself to like it or I actually found that I enjoy it... lol

LOVEppears took such a long time to grow on me, i didn't care much for it for a long time and it was the first album that i didn't think had any strong individual tracks. I just didn't like the direction of the album, it was all over the place.

Thankfully it found a place in my heart last year, i really came to realize how ethereal it sounds. Who, End Roll, Appears, To Be & And Then are the strongest songs on the album imo. Just stunning! There's still a few tracks i don't like, LOVE ~Refrain~ is a mess and the hook of Immature is really annoying but that's it really.

It's nowhere near my favorite album but i've really come to appreciate it cause it's so unique in her discography.

I don't HATE LOVEppears, I just like it much less than other Ayu albums. Except perhaps A song for XX and Duty.

And yeah, it grew on me a bit recently, so maybe I'll love it more someday

And MY STORY used to be one of my favourite albums a couple of years ago, I still love it now but it's getting harder for me to choose my favourite Ayu album now xD

Speaking of eras though I prefer My story (maybe even Memorial address) - onwards rather than the older ones. And unlike many of the fans here Ayu doesn't dissapoint me with her new releases.

Ayu's best albums are Rainbow, LOVEppears, (miss)understood und Love songs! Those 4 albums are pretty perfect to me. I don't care much for the rest, just a few songs from each album.

With I am... and Duty... I don't know, I'm not a big fan of Crea's compositions on I am... e.g..
