Yeah, ayu sounds like she's deaf when she sings in English.

I like the one or two words in songs like she used to sprinkle in (step you) ... Can't think of any others at the moment lol.

I can understand Namie better than I can understand Ayu... Both have bad pronunication but yeeeesshh... Ayu's makes me actively sad. >_<

Ayumi already knows english and she stills wants to say "cutesy" engrish words, I don't think so.




I really wished that she kept the theme of the covers in the booklet, IMO these are the worse booklet pictures I have seen of hers.

Kuu is the best at telling me she touched a booty and I should crap my hands.

Ayu's Engrish is luckily to the level where it doesn't sound like ANYTHING really, so... maybe that's better? lol

True Kumi is pretty bad, and Ayu's "whats the DiFFeRANCE" drives me crazy but Namie had the audacity to release 2 albums with 75% of the songs in English, and she couldn't even pronounce the word "Heaven".

Honestly, i never really know what to expect with Namie's english. She pronounces Heaven as "Hairboon" yet has no problem singing "Stratosphere"

It's either good or really bad, so yeah it's all suppliess indeed

Namie's English really seems to be dependent on having a recording director helping her out with it, cuz yeah it's really inconsistent. I think it seems worse than it is because of that.

To be fair, "HEAVEN" is NOT an easy word - I hear it in Jpop all the time but it ALWAYS sounds like "hairboon" or "heybbun" or "headburn" or something.

Namie is understandable thanks to WHERE her vocals are originating from - English is a pretty throaty language while Japanese is far more nasal, so when she sings from the throat her pronunciation is much better. Ayu stays in her nasal voice so even when her mouth is doing the right movements, she sounds like she has a terrible cold & a sock stuffed down her throat, which makes it MUCH harder to understand her, and makes it so "that is" and "dance" sound almost identical the way she says them.

I don't think anyone's English is worse than Ruki's from the Gazette. But I love that somehow. The same way I love it in ayu, Mell, and other Japanese artists

Koda's engrish is horrible, but she can get away with it because she does a lot of vocal stuff, and her music is already weird and fun.

Namie's engrish is just....flat engrish. Like. I don't pay attention to her lyrics anyway. She's just -there-.


Ayu's engrish.......Ayu should just never sing in english. It just doesn't go, and it makes her voice sound much worse than it is.


Thank god Armin liked the Japanese terminal better.

I can't believe you guys are having a debate on who sings better in Engrish. They all sound terrible when they sing in engrish, Kuu sounds awkward, Namie sounds like a drowning woman and Ayu sounds like a cat trying to talk whenever they sing in Engrish.

Lol but I really really love it when they sing it that way.
