Talking about Yonezu Kenshi , I would be interested to hear his own rendition of ARASHI's Kite since he created the song for them

Kite is fantastic & well deserved of ARASHI to have their highest ever 1st week sales singles wise

A slight shame Journey to Harmony was not released as an A-side with Kite cos it's 1 of their best B-sides to date with them performing the song last Nov for the 1st time during Emperor Naruhito's enthronement ceremony

It's surprising up to now ARASHI has not obtained a million selling single yet

I'm quite sure all that will change in a matter of time

Oh wow! I knew he was very successful and popular but didn't realise he was this massive. It's kind of exciting to have another million-seller in this day. Congrats to Kenshi!

Is anyone here into Awich? A friend of mine recommended me her last album, KUJAKU, and I loved it. She's not bout to release an EP, Partition, later this month and two tracks are out already, Bad Bad and Shook Shook, and both are really great!

I tried to look up on her career and it seems she's either having a major debut now or switiching to a bigger label. Found this interesting article:

Yes, Awich was Indie till recently and now has her major debut under Universal with Partition.

This year is frankly an outright awful year in Japanese showbiz :s

I know mental health issues are still taboo & not spoken out publicly in Japan but I think Japanese celebrities should not suffer in silence

And when they chose to take their own lives , they left behind a lot of sadness and many questions on why they do this

By then it would have been too late already ._.

Kobukuro specialises in folk rock driven music so for them to put out songs not in their usual music element , it's always a nice surprise of the good kind

When they performed Tomoru Inori at last Mon's CDTV Live! Live! , it was spine chilling

I cannot wait to see even more TV promo for Tomoru Inori in days to come

How has this thread become dead?

Anyways, just recently, on 10 December, my favorite non-Ayu solo singer Sayuri Sugawara - who used to do the Japanese theme song for Final Fantasy XIII back in 2009 - just announced that she got married! She's married to a non-celebrity man. She just announced it yesterday (20 December).

Congratulations to Sayuri and her new husband and we wish them both well in the future! Don't worry, she'll still be making music for the foreseeable future.

Ryota Miyadate of Snow Man has tested positive for the novel coronavirus COVID-19. The result was revealed today after a regularly conducted PCR test conducted by Johnny & Associates.

Ryota is currently showing no symptoms, but will be under the watch of medical staff going forward. The other members of Snow Man tested negative.

Johnny & Associates wanted to report Ryota’s diagnosis as soon as possible, as a courtesy to others. All of Ryota’s recent close contacts have not been confirmed, but the contact tracing process has started. The company will contact the close contacts individually once confirmed.

Earlier this week, Snow Man‘s Ryota Miyadate tested positive for COVID-19. Johnny & Associates released the news as quickly as possible, as a courtesy to people that may have been in close contact with Ryota. The company started contact tracing and has arrived at the conclusion that the remaining eight members of Snow Man are close contacts. Due to this, the entire group will temporary suspend their activites so that they can quaratine, even though they all tested negative previously.

This temporary hiatus means that Snow Man will not debut on Kohaku Uta Gassen this year as planned. They will also miss this year’s Johnny’s Countdown and “MUSIC STATION ULTRA SUPER LIVE 2020.”

Johnny & Associates released a statement apologizing to disappointed fans over this suspension of activities. They also apologized to the staff of the year end music shows which are now inconvenienced. The company said it will learn from this incident and use more preventive measures going forward.

As a consolation of sorts, Snow Man released the music video for their upcoming single, “Grandeur”, today.

It's worrying that a lot of the Johnny groups have members that have COVID-19 but what J&A has decided to do for Snow Man is the most drastic

I hope the older groups will not have the virus but you never know

Maybe that's why V6 has sat out of so many live TV shows & this year's also their 25th anniversary

At least they will perform in tomorrow's MUSIC STATION Ultra SUPER LIVE 2020 which I think it will be their last TV appearance for the year
