even I myself have doubts on whether can Going ! sell on par if not more than Love yourself & this happened way before I heard the song

My intuition's telling me probably no because Going ! doesn't have a strong tie in as compared to Love yourself which got a relatively strong drama tie in & also THE D-MOTION's so great & it deserves to be their 1st B-side to get a PV

& between the way both singles were marketed (with Love yourself's having 2 CD + DVD's as limited editions & for Going ! having only 1 CD + DVD's as a LE & a CD only LE) , I think trouble's brewing in due time

Going ! will definitely get #1 but as to whether can it sustain itself on Oricon in the long run , I really don't know for that

& yeah sorry to say I'm not interested in sport shows T-T

i loved the MS performance! this is my first time hearing the song, so i like it. very poppy compared to the last single, but i still like it! it's fun & catchy i think it's definately not their best song, though. the only type of pop-ish single that i LOVE from KT is yorokobi no uta that song never gets old. but i can still enjoy Going!.

anyway, i look forward to the special medley on MS next week

tbh, i'll be shocked....SHOCKED...if it outsells Love yourself. not only because of the tie-in, but because come on, the 2 most popular members had solos on those too. and there were 2 CD+DVD editions. i'll honestly say it will go around like...White X'mas....or like ONE DROP.

"Going!" is not my favorite KAT-TUN song, AND DAMN IT AUTOTUNE, but somehow i like it. idk whether it's my sympathy card playing or whatever. i do think the arrangement is much easier to digest than "Love yourself". all in all though....they are both the same in many, many ways. (i do know they are both by the same dude)

personally, drop the pop, go full-on dance music, KAT-TUN pleassseee.

like what I said before , both LE's on CDJapan have not gotten out of print as fast as Love yourself . Even CDJapan didn't state 'only a few quantity left in stock' so I think there're a LOT of copies that the fangirls haven't preorder yet D:

at least for Bokura no Machi de , it was a flawless ballad & they proven before that they were able to carry off a great single without Akanishi but I'm not so sure this time round for Going ! X_X

maybe I need to give the song a few more listens before I can be really critical over it

I'm guessing it's not the A-side because GOING! is much more mainstream and appealing to the masses. Imagine which one a random girl listening to the radio would prefer ; )

the same thing goes for ARASHI . Last year when they released My Girl , the 2 B-sides were f-king amazing in every single level & totally gave the A-side a serious huge run for its $

I'm annoyed sometimes at the way an artiste's being marketed really & even I sometimes cannot understand Johnny-san's way of thinking . I think he's getting senile & old xD

But you have to consider this is KAT-TUN. Their Fans are more used to FALL DOWN kind of songs. It's not like they are Arashi or NEWS who like to play it save. I think that stupid sports show is to blame and maybe they want to get some HSJ Fans to buy the record, too. And don't forget the grandmother that likes Arashi. JE probably thinks she should focus on KAT-TUN, now that "not-so-perfect son-in-law" Akanishi is gone. Now, they only need to make Koki look more like a Johnny and the plan succeeded.

the target market for KAT-TUN is teen/fangirls while for ARASHI , it's all the people that're working including my mum & grandma xD so naturally the type of music that each Johnny's does differs

I just hope this time round , it's a 1 off mistake with regards to Going ! . Even my younger sister said that the introduction of the song kinda downgraded the song to her

Ha, I knew I finally found out how JE's/Johnnys mind works.

i honestly do think JE is trying to push KAT-TUN into a more mainstream way. but i think they're having a hard time trying to transition them because they are popular with the image they have, you know, the anti-idol look of sorts. Arashi was never really that popular with their "harder" image, unlike KAT-TUN. A-RA-SHI was really their only hit...prior to HYD. Kitto Daijoubu was popular, but imo, it's not in line with their rap/rock/hip-hop roots.

but i think this single will be an indicator of what to do with KAT-TUN in the future. looking through their discography, you see their more pop-influenced singles (White Xmas/Yorokobi no Uta/ONE DROP) are the lowest selling ones. however, i think following the success of Love yourself, they are giving the...pop route a go again. but i think if Going! meets lukewarm sales, hopefully the next single will be more in line of the usual KAT-TUN lingo~ and JinJin will be back causing up a storm too.

i honestly want them to try electro/dance/urban if they're looking for a fresh sound. they already mastered the "rock" gig. i wish they went THE D-MOTION route, than the Love yourself one.
