Exactly, it has an unique concept in the jpop world, works especially when you have insomnia.
When everything around is quiet (especially in summer nights), you (generally) are staying in the bed and the CD starts playing. Its magical.
Still, it can be a bit overwhelming for a new fan since it has a lot of midtempos.

(I took the discussion here, since we already have this thread)

Regarding this album, I prefer AM02:00 (haruka nakamura La Nuit remix) over the original. It fits the night/starry theme even more.

Her sales are good this time. I have hope for 20k. Probably somewhere between 17k-20k.

Finally I listened to Brave Shine. The a-side is a good pop-rock song. But I prefer Ophelia.

Exactly. Ophelia has a simple but effective arrangement. Kinda like ayu's Sweet scar.

^Wow she has some gorgeous covers! As good as Mika Nakashima's who is someone else for me who has great covers.

Think I may have heard a little of her songs before but I can't remember what they sounded like. Will have to check out some more of her stuff!

You mean the ”Live at Anywhere” one? It.s probably not a proper single, maybe something to promote her lives. It.s official, I found it listed on her official website for a June 05, 2015 release. It is a mora digital exclusive from what I read there.

The three live versions (1. 冬のダイヤモンド -Live ver.- 2. Cold Sun -Live ver.- 3. 六等星の夜 -Live ver.-) are part of her Live at Anywhere Vol.26 ”Brave Shine” which took place on June 04, 2015. The setlist includes a total of 10 songs. She performed some old songs, some Midnight Sun ones and also the new single ”Brave Shine”.

She.s so cute in these mini concerts, and her voice tends to be much more powerful.

The whole setlist is:
1) broKen NIGHT
2) ポラリス
3) StarRingChild
4) Anata Ni Deawanakereba
5) Ophelia (premiere performance)
6) Cold Sun
7) Kanashimi wa Aurora ni
8) Fuyu no Diamond
9) Brave Shine (premiere performance)

I.ve thought to share the English translation for ”Ophelia” because it is beautiful. I don.t know if I mentioned already, but Aimer writes her own lyrics (with a few exceptions).

Okay, so I.ve noticed that I have a problem in copying the content from that site which provided the translation, so I.ll just leave the link:

I.ve read somewhere that she was inspired by the fictional character Ophelia from the play ”Hamlet” by William Shakespeare. The lyrics are quite tragic and dark and give a bit of a suicidal vibe. In fact, it.s quite clear. She also uses many motifs that also appear in the play such as water, flowers, dreams etc.
