I like Ayumi. I don't like everything that she does though and I don't pretend to. Nor am I required to to be a part of an Ayumi forum. Imagine if EVERYONE here thought EVERY THING that Ayu did was perfect, that would be horrible.

Some people get flamed, and don't deserve to be, for that stand. Others act rudely when they criticize, and deserve to be flamed. It's not very black and white.

Certainly, every time I hear of a new Ayu release, I get excited. There is no other artist like her to me. I have consistently enjoyed her work for a long time now. I think she is beautiful, talented, and deserving of her fame.

What difference is it to anyone how other people choose to enjoy her? It is no one's duty to act as the thought police and dictate how someone else should feel.

I still get impressed with her releases and I still enjoy her songs a lot. I can't say she makes the same impact over me as she did when I discovered her but then at that moment there was WAY too much material for me to look for so I would get impressed by listening to SO MUCH cool stuff. Now I've reached her rythm of releasing stuff so of course it won't be the same as the amount of new stuff I could listen to when I discovered her. She still rocks for me and is still my number 1 favorite. That doesn't block me from enjoying many other artists though.

I think this topic is fine... I think there are some people here who don't just find "flaws" with Ayu, but I haven't a problem with that.

As for me, yeah I still love her and hopefully continue to!

and I agree that her recent works have been fine... I don't see the huge difference between her older and newer material...

I like Ayumi. It's just that I don't make her my life. If I'm disappointed over something she's done recently, it's not the end of the world. I still view her highly. &As LX DAI said, I don't love someone I've never met. I have the utmost respect for her, because I think she creates wonderful music that speaks to many people. I'm impressed by her work ethic &her dedication to her fans. But that doesn't mean that I'm going to listen only to her. She's not always in my CD player, but that's okay. There is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

First of all u can feel whatever u want. U can love some1 w/o actually meeting them. For example i liked this guy 4 a VERY long time, and i never talked 2 him, we didn't even go 2 the same school. that eventually turned into a sort of love (crazy granted, i know), I eventually did meet him (thorugh great lengths may i add), and dated him, and was even engaged. But the point it that u can love some1 and not know them, now im not saying i'm in love w/ Ayumi, but she is freaking awsome. And to say that we should be dead 4 loving some1 we don't know is entirly idiotic, and a rather stupid generazation.

On the topic of hypocritical people agreeing in some threads, and saying other things. people change their minds constantly, and are free to do so. They might agree w/ things one day, but another see it in another frame of mind another day. It's what we do as humans, mood often affects or decsions, and our mood changes constantly.

Also, of course your going to find a lot of pro Ayumi things. U said it yourself, u go on a lot of forums like this. U may have not noticed...lol. but this forum is all about Ayumi, every1 here shares a great interest about her, and its rather logical that you will have A LOT of Pro Ayumi comments. Plus some people may "make Ayumi their life", but how is it that u can tell that from an Ayumi Forum?, where we mostly do talk about Ayumi. U don't know what people do on a day to day basis unless u know them, which i strongly doubt you've met everyone on the forum. Don't get me wrong, some people do, but thats their choice, u do what u want w/ your life, and thats fine. it's not interferring w/ your life, so u shouldn't attack people about it.

Ayumi isn't Gandhi, probally never will, however most people will never be like him. She is an artist, its a bussiness, she makes money. Its fine that u don't see her an generous, and im sorry that u don't have any respect 4 her. And hell if i was in her place i would be entirly self-centered. She doesn't have to show any generosity to the public; its her damn money, and she is free to do what she wants w/ it.

whoa actually thats a very long post, haha

I didn't care to read your post because i usually skip everyones post and give my post. Like Chrono said, every artist gets criticism and you obviously can't handle it, even if you say you can and do.
sure... i guess the A H came out of nowhere... but look man.. forget it...

Wow, everyone has such a different and interesting opinion! Personally I still love Ayumi. I can't just stop liking her. Though singing off-key and other such things do cause me to think "she can do better" I still love Ayu.

why are you so aggresive and offensive against LX? he's just stating his opinion. plus, he stated cleary what his interests are, so why tell him than he should worry about what he likes? i think there is a certain amount of bias in your reply. his reply was on topic, as he stated why he still likes ayu. and the 'crush' on artists... i saw it as a boundary of his 'ayu-love'

That's the way that LX acts to everyone else. Period.

He means that he needs to stop being concerned with people liking Ayu "too much" and simply focus on what he likes and leave everone else alone, which is completely reasonable. No one needs to be told that their opinion is wrong, and he created a whole topic about that once and won't give it up.

I still like Ayumi, even if for the last couple of years I haven't been that impressed with her releases. But there's always a part I will like about her because of what she has released in the past And I think she's done extremely well with keeping her self-control since she's one of Japan's most popular artists.

To me, Ayumi is the best of the best. There hasn't been an artist that I have enjoyed listening to as much as Ayumi. Not even close.
