it's not only western countries....look at imperial Japan, look at China...Japan made an empire by conquering "lower" people, the Europeans did this too, but Japan is an Asian example. They had the idea that they were superior to everyone else, their ruler was regarded as a living god. China thought everything from the West was barbaric, nothing good ever came from out of China.
Anyways, if you kill someone after you've donated tons of money, it doesn't matter how much money you donated, you still killed someone. Just because you did a lot of good, and then killed someone doesn't mean you should be treated differently from someone who has only killed someone. It's still a serious crime, and justice has to be served.
