Basically if it's copyrighted (Which everything is) then it's illegal to download. But if some purchased and shared, it is arguably legal. As it is the same to burning the cd for a friend, if you twist it a bit.

Some people are too young to work therefore too young to buy singles and albums all the time, or they just don't have access to internet buying and the stuff isn't available offline (that's my case) so I download and buy whenever possible. I don't think it's entirely true to be so strict as to say "WHATEVER YOU DOWNLOAD, BUY!" but I think that people should buy when they can.

I agree with walking proud there. I try to buy whatever cds i can, ayu especially. Not because i don't want to get arrested but because i think the artists deserve to have some of my money. I think they did hard work and created a good album or single and they should get paid by me for it. But yeah, i don't have much money, so i'll download songs to know what i like. But i dont' delete it in 24 hours or anything, i do just keep the mp3s, even after i buy the album. i like listening to music on my computer.
