I like Rainbow but not love it. Maybe people felt it was bad because their weren't alot of songs to like. Me Personally only liked :
WE WISH
Real me
Free & Easy
HANABI
July 1st
Dolls
independent
taskinilusion

the rest I just skip.

There's a couples of GREAT songs. The other songs are just mediocre and easy to forget.

I like the rainbow album, but then again.. I like all of her albums .. so.. *shrugs* I guess I'm either not very picky, or I have "bad taste"

RAINBOW for me is just kind of...there...very mediocre. I really love Hanabi and Free&Easy, but the rest I enjoy, not really love. Most of the songs, IMO, are enjoyable, but not really memorable.

RAINBOW has a lovely look at least. It's odd, I really dislike all the single songs except Free & Easy but the album-only songs are nice and it has the best interludes.

I dislike I am... also! ><

RAINBOW had an interesting concept and the single songs were excellent. However many of the non single songs weren't so powerful. Also there were too many ballads which were soothing, slow and not structured after the typical powerful Ayu ballads which made this album sound too.. bland compared to the other albums which had powerful ballads and many lively tracks.

Some people also hated it for the English she included which was pretty odd when you think about when many artists do so. However I must say I enjoy many tracks off the album. Real Me, Heartplace, July 1st and independent were brilliant upbeat songs while I enjoyed Hanabi, Voyage and Dolls. However the others are usually the ones which I skip most.

To me this are super ayu classics....!

Voyage
July 1st
HANABI
Heartplace
Free & Easy
Real me
everlasting dream
and of course RAINBOW

I don't see anything wrong with the album... like I've said ttime before... this album has the best of the old and new ayu. It's an awesome album! and her english is is good.

at first I didn't like the Idea of so much english on her beautiful japanese lyrics... but in the end it came out good!

i used to think it's her worst album because the songs there were so slow and boring, but it actually grew on me and i actually like that album!

RAINBOW had different feeling to the album. It was very serene and soothing and then it had its up beat songs and dramatic songs. I would definately say that it is one of my favourite ayu albums.

I don't love it or hate it...it's sort of in the middle. (I like it more than Duty or ASFXX, but not as much as I am..., LOVEppears, ma, etc.) Some of my favorite songs are on that album (HANABI, Heartplace) and then again, so are some of my least favorites *cough*Voyage*cough*. I think it had great flow, but overall, the booklet/theme excited me more than the actual contents. I still listen to it, though. It's a nice diversion from her other stuff once in a while.

Rainbow was the only album that I could define with one word, and that is "water". Other Ayu albums, I cannot do so because the songs are so diverse. I like this kind of structured flow better...

Everywhere no where is a good song! It's very upbeat and mysterious. Close to You is a nice relaxing song, similar to "winding road" and "who...". We wish, over, dolls are also disliked by the masses, but I love them anyway there are a lot of underrated song on this album...

^^I agree with you. I really like Close to you, it has some nice effects in it.

I also agree with someone above that this is one of Ayu's albums that isn't so diverse. The album really does have a certain feel to it, and every song contributes. People say that this album has no structure, when actually it does, but perhaps the fact that every song does have the same mood (possibly) thats why people think its boring.

RAINBOW was my second ayu album that i've got. at that time, i only have A-best. so, unlike others, i'm not able to compare it to other albums. i remember i was very impressed by ayu's changes since A-best. there are more variety of songs, though some songs(even i can't recall the song title now) are forgetable, there are still good songs which are my fav! so, i won't hate it, RAINBOW is rated something in between.

I dislike the album. I think it's such a weak release, the music is so very bland IMO.
