^ Well, I figured that, thanks for clearing it up.

Contrary to popular belief, there are still people in the world who use cassette tapes. I hope others can respect that.

what am more curious is, will j-pop stuff hard to find? i mean some people there are anti-Japanese, so wouldn't some stores not take the risk?
or i'm just too exagerating coz of those 'Vicki Zhao n the wrong clothes' and 'Zhang Zi Yi in geisha' thingie i had read in the newpaper.

^ Maybe a lot of *official* Jpop stuff is hard to find...bootlegs seem to be a little more prevalent than official releases in China Well, that was how it was when I visited my family there.

Man..now I feel old

Ooh yeah, the good old days Wasn't all that long ago, 11 years... I hated the short tapes so I used to record the songs I liked onto a longer tape Wow, now I feel old too

It's weird though, a lot of younger members here don't use them, makes me feel old, although I am one of the oldest members here anyway

Smell, what smell?

I still use casettes as well...not because I like them though. I usually record onto casettes because my stereo doesn't automatically turn off after playing a cd and I usually fall asleep to my songs and I don't want my stereo or cd to burn up, even though it hasn't happened yet.

Plus, my parents apparently don't know how to use CDs. and they don't like DVDs either. They are so outdated. And also, our car stereo doesn't even have a cd player in it...only tape player =(

you are not the only old one, i'm 19 and i still use them to play my old Jimmy Lin's tapes(those before he goes to army, which is before 1994). when i bought them (back in 1999, i'm only 13) i went to buy a tape player to play them! i still keep them though, here's the scan of some tapes.

Ah, but 19 is still young - I'm ten years older than you are I can still remember when singles were sold as small records, just before tapes became really popular for that
