well, i do like Fairyland too....but i would prefer STEP you to be nominte....

Why fairyland? it's a decent video, but STEP you, My name's WOMEN, or alterna is 10x better.

I think I saw this some time ago at Lotus-Hues.
They probably took the effort to create the fairyland PV(ie. location, cost, etc) into consideration when they nominated it. Personally, I think that the cost to make the PV doesn't necessarily mean it will be "AWESOME!" Either way, I was never too fond of the song/PV.

I think fairyland was picked because this is the best POP video category and that song is the popiest of her singles this year. Plus it was a huge expensive production.

Alterna is so rock that I wouldn't put it in the Pop category either - it should have been nominated for best rock video though.

There's so many Ayu PVs that are released on a year, that I think it's difficult to pick only one, although I think fairyland was picked 'cause of the budget or maybe the meaning of the song, who knows :S

Yay, Kylie Minogue (TOWA TEI - SOMETIME SAMURAI) is nominated too!!!

Exactly. Besides they're only crticizing Ayu's music, not the person herself. Maybe they just don't really like her recent material

Well, I haven't seen the Konayuki PV yet. But the rest are kind of bland really. Ayu stands a big chance of winning, and it's not even one of her more interesting PVs. Maybe Ladies Night would have made this a certainty.

I noticed alot of people are complaining about the nomination of fairyland video. But really don't u think avex would be mad if is didn't get Nominated? It cost soo much money.

Well, it was one of the few 'pop' videos of the year she did.

alterna is more 'rock' and STEP you / is this LOVE is more .. unpop than fairyland. xD

fairyland is honestly the most poppy PV that ayu made in 2005. :p It had the dancing and the stuff~

Even though fairyland wasn't a "blow you away" PV or song, you have to think about all the angle shots and scenery etc. Those aerial shots and cloud ones and the waterfall one were all really artistic and the PV was probably much more difficult to get right than STEP you or anything else.. So I'm glad its nominated and I hope it wins!
