Thanks for the translation! Now we know why it isn't a 3A single anymore.

If this single isn't as good as I expect, according to these words, i guess i no longer have to blame avex for a bad single. we can finally blame ayu ... ahh that wasn't funny.
Thanks for the info.

....Wha?

MISIA and Ken... are releasing on the 14th, as well as ELT and some others..

But Ayu's competition for the 21st are MoMusu, TOKIO, and Hitomi Shimatani.. all of whom are wonderful, but in past singles, have not really had the selling power to defeat Ayu. That is unless someone's single manages to break two weeks of 90k+++ sales

My train of thought: From Ayu's stand-poitn: big summer single = fewer singles to release/promote = more free time for Ayu. From the company's stand-point: big summer single = one expensive release = one lump sum income, rather than a bunch of money all throughout the year. Ayu has released a lot of triple A-side singles in the summertime (H and & were consecutive summers). They would rather she release several small singles because they are cheaper to put out, and they create a longer span of income. The past two summers have been full of releases, and I'm sure they want to keep Ayu going on a roll and get several more singles out of this next album before its release (Instead of only one in the spring, one big one in the summer, and one in the fall/winter). Ayu has been doing so many double A-sides lately (let alone triple A-sides - which are rare for any artist), they probably want to thin her about a bit.

If this is the case, then with this single change, I feel there will be another single at the end of the summer, similar to the pattern the past two years have taken.
Hmmm... This makes sense. But I think there's gonna be another summer single (most likely in August) anyway.

Her past 2 summers haven't been full of releases. There was only 1 single for each summer, INSPIRE then fairyland. She's followed the 1 single/season pattern for 2 years though. So that's why I don't think avex will release a single before September.

In my mind, it would've been in their best interests to release the triple-A single instead of the single-A cos yes, it does bring a lot more revenue. They could use that extra revenue and make up for the lost revenue from Startin' and somewhat for (m)u. It'll spike for sure, but by having the triple-A it might help her single sales go back up to the 300k mark again.
