I think being a huge fan shouldn't be about how many of their cd's you own just like you said D, I think it's about how dedicated you are to them or at least how much you listen to them, and how you can't go through one day without hearing their voice just once, watching performances, watching concerts and other things of that sort, it's not all about money it's about how much you pay attention to them and the things they do for you.

seriously, i dont think there is any way to prove it... being a true fan means that you really support the artiste from the bottom of your heart... all those material goods like those cds or posters or other goods doesnt really mean much... true support comes from within, so there really isnt any way to compare who is a bigger fan...

To me, a big fan is someone who respect, idolize & support a particular artist and not bashing other artist that they dislike.

a fan who re respect, idolize & support a particular artist and also bashing other artist that they dislike is an OBSESSED fan. Like some of newbs here.

newbs, huh lol thats funny . We all were there before. I hardly posted on this forum for years till now so many members have come and gone and i remained with a few others. I am just getting to know everyone and what a moderator is and all that stuff lol. But yeah all you have incredible points it sucks for me because i like too many artist and cannot buy all at once like BoA i have almost all her original korean albums except girls on top and her japanese outgrow lol i'll get them later cuz money is tight. But i think everyone hear represents a music idol i think i can pin point who likes who the best by going threw past post but it will take too long i think this forum has a strong bond like that!

oh, and i miss out some people who just had a sudden like for an artist, but the flare turn off in less then half a year.....in my case,i don't call them true fans, just normal fans.

well, my sister is this type of people. i remember she had a lot of artists, that were drop by her like a hot potatoes. most of them hardly last more then 5 months....
what's more,she never watch/listen to them now....

Here`s my 2 cents:

Why should people have to prove to other people that they`re a true (or big) fan of an artist they admire? As long as you know you`re a true fan, than you`re good to go. I wouldn`t waste my time arguing wether or not I`m a true fan. I know I am.

Also, being a true fan comes from the heart. If you really love and respect a certain artist, then you`re a true fan. You don`t have to own any of their albums or any of their stuff. You love their music, style, personality, etc. and that`s all that matters. Conversly, if you don`t have any of their stuff, someday when you have money you`ll start your collection.
