50 Cent was supposed to come to my city (Greenville) to perform at the Club Escalade one Saturday night. The club was packed and the radio kept announcing that he would show up at any minute, but he never did! People stayed there until 6am but he never came. Instead, he went up to Detroit to perform at a concert somewhere.

i don't really like the song "in the club"..but it's working it's way up the charts in my place...
i like Coolio's "C U when U Get There",too...not to mention..
Bone Thugs n Harmony "Crossroads"...i think the new version by some wannabe white guys really spoilt that song...
i mean...they can't rap...

lol... almost all the time, you can't even understand a word they're saying! And when you do, it's usually some swear word or how they wanna "bang" some girl they met last night... And the videos... I won't even mention those....

And they call that music...

Anger music, you say? What makes pople just get up and start swearing? Is it because they were bought up in broken homes? Or perhaps they think swearing's the only way that people will listen. In real life, I've never had to say anything like "shut up, mother $&#!!" ... I still find it pointless, and to me, the name 50 cents fits the guy perfectly, since that's all he's worth to me at most...

Okay. . . O.o Where did she ever get that idea from? Dysfunctional families might say that but cannot be the case with every family. If so then everyone would be rappers or in a jail cell somewhere.

Music comes in all sorts of forms -- classical, techno, jazz, etc. To call rap as not being music is like calling anything else not being music. Sure people might dislike it but it will always be a musical artform.

I am not really a rap fan either. I have heard this song, and really can't stand it. I don't see where it takes any sort of skill or talent to rhyme profanity over a dull, repetitive backbeat. About the only rapper I like is Eminem and The Roots. But I listen to Eminem's stuff like I would listen to a Weird Al or George Carlin album, just for a good laugh. The Roots actually play instruments and have positive lyrics, not just a bunch of swearing. Rap for the most part is just not music, sorry.

mary: hehe, yeah, the star is a bit odd, but it's a very sweet gesture nonetheless (the re-making of the avatar...that is...) heheh
