Just like others say, it's simply becouse the lyrics make it a good ending song (although I believe the fact it's ballad-ish also makes it good for an ending).

Who is still the ending song, it's used in the credits of the latest DVDs as the "ending", after the concert is over.

^ That's true, but the concert's ending song has been changing alot recently. I was hoping winding road would stick, but it didn't...

I think it seems like she's decided to always use an ending song from the latest album or something.

and probably her personal favourite anyway. The idea behind the song is truly amazing ... At no stage does she say things like "thank you"..... it is completely implied by her description of the person she is dedicating the song to. I actually always wondered who the song was referring to.... I always thought it was to her mum ... (but certainly, grandmother is equally likely) I reckon the first chorus represents her time when she left for Tokyo. It's interesting because it's referring to the memory of her past. "I remember On the night we spent apart The moon was far away and I was crying." The other thing to note, is that the 2 (and 3rd) chorus, when translated to English is: "I pray that this singing voice will reach you... I pray that this singing voice will reach you..." But that the two sentences do not mean exactly the same in Japanese (Perhaps a native Japanese speaker can clarify this) - I heard it's something to do with the formal/informal wording of the sentences. - In any case, I think the original meaning of the song is now "lost", being replaced by the plural of "you" in her concerts... ie: It's like when an actor wins an Oscar and thanks everyone who has helped him/her in the past... .This is why I think Who is always her last song. |

I wonder what the next Who... will be like, a rock version? She's used more than one version of the original, and also the instrumental now
.

I do not think she would allow a song like Who... to become 'rock'
![]() I mean, A Song for XX eventually evolved into that because of the band changing the live sound as they went [and it's a pretty angry song..]~ Who... is one of those sad songs that I think she would not be able to change.. like 'teddy bear...'
