He didn't mean a "queen" in general, or even THE "queen of Jpop", he meant that he doesn't want Kumi or anyone else to take Ayu's place in his heart. If Ayu doesn't release, then all you really have to listen to is Kumi and then when Ayu does release, you won't care as much anymore...

I've been a member of this forum for less than a year and I'm experiencing already the SECOND news drought! But oh well, I'd like Ayumi to take her time and come up with serious quality music, rather than listen to something in the vein of Shake It Up (no offence to everyone who likes it) every 4 weeks.

This comment is so true. I myself would like a single every single month but I think that after around 9 years of hard work she deserves to take it easy and enjoy her hard earned money.

I don't see it as being a very long break, really, as there were some recent new songs & PVs in Secret and then a new song and PV for A BEST 2, not that long ago Not a single, but it's new music Maybe she's taking some time in between singles to work on new songs and ideas, if she is it might be a good thing. I agree with what asongforXX said, she deserves to take a break from her normal hectic release schedule.

i guess its expected that ayu will not have any news at all during her asia tour cos she is busy touring in asia. not much time for any recordings nor tv performances.. but i am extremely afraid that ayu may not release any singles this year. hope that there is at least a mini album at the end of this yr!

Ayu has worked hard for years, so if she feels she doesn't need to be always recording something that's understandable (and there's still the tour for lucky Asian fans). I'm still hoping for an August/September single, though.

I was thinking about this a few months back ago... that it had been 8 months since the last single - almost as long as the break between her Voyage single and &.

Now its 10, almost 11 months. KEEP IT UP AYU! I KNOW YOU CAN MAKE THE 12 MONTH MARK

Worst case senario is that she'll release a new song, we'll get dissapointed by it because it sounds like everything else she's release and she'll lose even more fans than she has in the past year. Because we're greedy like that. I honestly will not care because I've destroyed my ability to dislike an Ayu song.

ps. Tho BLACK CHERY sucked, BUT is plain awesome. Her ballads on the other hand still suck.
