Or probably its a mixture of all 3 Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini.

Stalin's uniform + Hitler's expression + Mussolini's headdress.

This might sound random, but

Hitler was actually the less severe one. Stalin left a much more harsh history, but it's not mainstream like Hitler. Kinda weird..but it's true.

Errr.. I think Ayu just wanted to portray a military dictator and wasn't into reflecting any political idealogy.

^I think you're right.
Maybe ayu just wanted to show propaganda and blind following (the women without ears).

And I thought "rainy day" portrays a pre-war scenery (the 20s, for example). Because it seems rather peaceful and calm. I still question though, if they already had such kind of bus stations back then.

That makes sence.
By the way, when I saw PV, the scene with military-Ayu reminded me about "Equilibrium" movie...

That makes sense. Because of your prediction, it made me think of a scene before bombs were dropped or something.

In "Ladies Night", the dummy girls march with goose step, like soviets and nazis

Ayu is just shown like an army commander. It doesn't need to be related to hitler or world war II. Did you notice the whole PV has something about leadership and submission? (army, SM, husband x wife)
About the uniforms and the serious expression, the commanding attitude and even the march, gosh those are all generic military stuff. You can see those in any headquarters. The general well dressed speaking on the mic while the soldiers keep still.

ZOMG! Her hairstyle really reminded me of someone from Germany. It kind of reminds me of Eva Braun's hair:

Ayu:

O_O

I don't think Ayu was trying to model herself on Hitler or whatever in the PV I think it was just a costume for the PV ... and that's it.

You have to swim through really pointless comments to actually find the good ones :[

Ladies Night was based of 1984 from what was said around the time it was released. The book is about a world where big brother is always watching you. Sex is only legal so you can reproduced and it's looked down upon and even thoughts (thought crimes) can get you in trouble. The Video also has people dressed up in Victorian age costume which might refrence a time of innocence or a different age in Europe/the World itself.

Also military uniforms are kind of popular in music everywhere. Even kids wear army jackets and such in the states.

i kinda thought that scene in ladies night was based on feminism. you know, showing how women now have equal rights that men do? that women can take charge as well? shrug.

^^ that is interesting to read though, especially since i had to read that book last year
