I like the second track quite a bit, but nothing else really grabbed me. I might need to listen to it more, but that's pretty much where I stand now. I like Hanadairo much more.
What do you think of it?

^agreed that hanadairo is waaay better.
thats a wonderful album. but this one...there are some gorgeous tracks, but the flow is off... it doesnt tell a sound story the way her other albums do. it seems more like "well, this type of track has worked well before, so has this type...ok..lets do them again!" and i am really disappointed with the songs she did with the chieftains. those are so....not good. ;__;

Which songs were the ones she did with the Cheiftans? And yeah, some of the songs just seem like less than stellar versions of previous songs.

^niji ga umareru kuni (track 8), and Siuil A Run (from Hotaru Boshi single) were with the Chieftains.
and 'less stellar versions of previous songs' is pretty much the way to put it.... its not a bad album..just sounds a bit recycled. i hate to say it this way, but now that ueda gen is out of the picture, maybe we'll get some different musical styles from cheetos.

^yeah. it truly is awful. its about the worst track on the album.
and it really makes me upset, because ive grown up with the chieftains my entire life, and when i discovered cheetos i thought it would be amazing if they collaborated. then it happened. a dream come true! but its just sooo damn painful! ;____; what type of music would you like to see her do?

 There's really nothing to say about that song other than it's terrible. It will never grow on me and I doubt I'll ever listen to it again.Hm... I loved the sound she had in Hanadairo, but I wouldn't want the same album twice. I'm not quite sure...

^see that's where im kinda stuck too.
Hanadairo is a fantastic album, and she covers a lot of ground. But i think Cassini was trying to be like it, but just kinda failed.... so to have another album along those lines would be waaay too much! id almost like to see her go back to a more shima-uta rich style.

^if you liked Cassini, you should check out her previous album 'Hanadairo'
She doent have a very big catalogue, so you coul just get all her albums if you feel like it. There is some fantastic listening to be had from her material. paper doll - yeah ive heard that cover. i thought it was kinda cool. i like youjeen anyway though....
