The wiktionary entry for 'bun': It basically means "divide" and such.. so it seems like it's meant to be said like a fraction.

Like seven by four, or even seven fourths..

Haha I always said "Humming seven-fourths".

Wow that looks really weird spelled out like that... :/

Ohh, okay, I see.

Hm. I usually say it as "humming seven four," but I may've said "humming seven fourths" maybe once.

Simply saying "Humming Seven Four" would be right if the actual track name was "Humming 7 4 / 74 / 7-4" but the way it's written as a fraction / time signature, seven by four and seven fourths seem to be the genuine English equivalent. LOL if anyone says "seventyfour" or something.

^No, you say time signatures like "four four" or "two four", or in this case "seven four", so it's the way you say in Japanese, then it's a fraction in this case.

I assumed that because Ayu didn't say "Humming Yon Nana" or anything, that she probably wasn't intending on having it read like the time signature..

But eh. We can't know it all. But we can try.

^I-It appeared as though you were interchanging fraction and time signature in your post, I must have read it wrong ^^;;..

Speculating is fun though, it's one of the perks of fandom~

I always say it as "Seven-Fourth"... im not sure but i believe on this:

1/2 = is to one-half
2/3 = is to two-third
3/4 = is to three-fourth

then...

7/4 = is to seven-fourth.

hahaha! (^____^)

Well, the humming thing doesn't go with the saying "Oh, we're open 24/7!" at all. It's much more musical in nature.
