Who's the best vocalist?

Plz forgive little Lee Ayu,but Kuu has an AMAZING voice.Especially when she sings ballads live<3

Best vocalist I'd have to say is either OLIVIA or ayaka.

Hikki has one of the most unique voices. She can range from low to high and not sound bad at all. Nowadays though, there's been a bit of problem, but still! She is still my favorite vocalist.

Ayu = great voice. she is able to change her singing style which is good.
Kuu = stupid and i hate her adlibs because her voice is really scratchy and hoarse.
Namie = terrible. she pretty much talks and doesn't sing.
mika = BORING.
yuna = BORING.


EDIT;; ugh. i knew this thread will be all about alan. :eye tbh, she's not a good singer. all she does is yodel/scream throughout her song and for the rest of the time her voice is just whiny. she's not an amazing vocalist. the only time i was impressed was when i first saw her debut. she's just bad. i wish people would stop calling her better than everyone else.

not true. theres very few songs wheres doing her traditional, unique, and shall be respected WAIL. maybe you never rlly listened to her good songs that she doesnt wail in..
and.. she has vocal training pretty much since she was little!

Namie Amuro actually is improving. She has a great voice live if you've heard her recently sing.

Also, she dances when she sings. And her dances are pretty hard

Definitely Utada...her lives, are just note-perfect. Songs like Kremlin Dusk, and Devil Inside. Too extremely hard songs to pull off and she seems to do it effortlessly with no strain to her voice. I would of voted other, but decided to vote Utada out of those stated..otherwise I'd have said alan

i agree, i was surprised at how well namie could belt it!

agreed.. I really dont like her voice...
although she can reach very wide range vocal, her vocal is sooooo boring. at least Namie ayu kuu are better because they are awesome in singing while dancing


i think they are the best singers. they can sing very good while dancing and hiro has very high pitch voice

Hikki has the best voice in my opinion. Her vocal range is amazing. And she doesn't need to change her voice, because she had a strong voice from her debut!
I think Namie has a good voice too, but sometimes I can't really tell because she uses a lot of harmony layers in her songs.
Also OLIVIA has an amazing voice!
And though Ayu is not the best, I love her voice. (I'm a bit confused as to why people are on an Ayu forum, if they don't like her voice hahaha)
I also think Riyu Kosaka has an amazing vocal range.

Namie is TERRIBLE and has no control. Utada is always out of breath but at least she has a nice timbre. Koda Kumi has terrible technique and sounds like a man all the time (in addition 2 looking like 1). Ayumi sounds bad a lot during lives, but at least she's got a nice tone.

oh well, that live is better than a lot of lives i've seen of Utada. but of course you have your opinion actually with a sing-off i'm sure Koda Kumi would beat Namie or Utada, her voice is a lot stronger than both of theirs.

...But she can't, lol. She has THE most horrible crescendos I've ever heard, and her range is quite terrible. Not to mention she's usually lacking with emotion. >_< And yeah, I'm probably playing with fire by calling out Namie with a Namie-stan, but meh. I want to let people know that I agree.

Annnyywayyy. I was going to vote Kuu, but yes, ayaka for sure! Some of her lives have made my jaw drop. (Specifically a few of the Mikazuki lives, and her version of I LOVE YOU. )
