DUH! I Did It for Love - it's catchy if nothing else.

Both the songs have ultra stupid lyrics, but at least BoA didn't write hers. Come Back To Me is one of the dumbest songs I've ever heard, it's as pathetic and annoying as the rest of TiTO. I personally think it's very pathetic to make your music sound like simple pop trash just to gain attention, but that's Utada for you lol

Ehh, I'll let the poll go on until I get out of school tomorrow xD I'll make round two after that, since they both are close with each other.

TITO was a good album, but it's just like any other american R&B album out there. I definitely prefer Hikki's japanese songs.
And tbh, i actually think that Come Back To Me is one of the weakest songs in the album =/. I much prefer This One, Apple & Cinnamon, and, of course, Dirty Desire lol.

On the other hand, BoA is SUPERB. I always thought her music was boring, but she really outdid herself on this album. I love every single song .
It's catchy, sexy and the cover definitely pwns TITO's lol.
How can you say BoA was "superb" after saying that part I highlighted?

I love both albums, but BoA is MUCH more generic than TiTO. Every single song on BoA is trying to be just like something from American radio. Dance is really popular in the US right now and that's all BoA is. No variety, no nothing, just her trying to get noticed by trying to be generic. At least Utada had a goal.

I'm not trying to be *****y or anything and like I said I really like both albums. I went out and bought them both as soon as I could. I was just surprised that you could act like BoA was original never-before-heard material and then say how geneic TiTO was.

Btw, I really like both CBTM and I Did It For Love so I'm gonna wait until the next round to vote.

What goal does she have or had? BoA made dance songs because that's as you said is whats popular in the U.S. at the moment. BoA's goal is to be successful in the U.S. and making dance music is how she thinks she should go about it. That's BoA's goal.

Utada just made the album because she was still under her contract. I'm not seeing a goal here.

She's said countless times that she set out to make a "good pop" album and be different from what is mainstream and in my opinion, that's what she did.

TiTO varies in style and BoA is nothing but dance music and half of the songs sound exactly the same on that album.

I keep seeing people bash Utada's lyrics on TiTO but BoA's lyrics weren't all that different-- they just lacked humor and at some points, personality at all. Not even that, but some of them weren't even grammatically correct. The lyric book actually lists Eat You Up's lyrics as "nothing's like it's used to be." Come on.

I'm gonna stop now, because I feel like I'm bashing BoA and I really like her and enjoyed some of the songs off of her album. I just think TiTO is far superior and am tired of seeing people bash it to hell and back.

"good pop" you say. I am kinda missing the "good" part. Where did it go? Sure TiTO varies in style juust one bit more, if the lyrics weren't that "humorous", cheesy and "fun" the album might've been good. It simply isn't, with the exception of FYI and This One. BoA is a dance album, I think that was obvious from the start, the lyrics are as well mostly, pure garbage, with the exception of Scream and Girls On Top and even though I generally don't like the albums that much. I can still survive listening to BoA and not skipping almost any of the tracks, while I am having troubles not wanting to "murder" Poppin' and Automatic Part II.

^Yeah...I skip Poppin' every single time. I just cant sit through it. On BoA's album I skip everything except for IDIFL, Eat you Up, Hypnotic, Did Ya, and GIRLS ON TOP (best song of the album). However, I did listen to both albums completely atleast once. Utada is more like, the distracting album. When I'm listening and trying to do HW, I get distracted and start thinking about the lyrics. BoA's album is more like trance-ish...when I do HW with that its like...ok...keep going....almost done. I never listen to Ayu while doing HW though cause it makes me wanna come to AHS x_x

Indeed it is!!! I hate it when I love both songs and there's no "both" option!! But okay, I voted for Utada because I am obsessed with this song rite now!! I Did It For Love is amazing too, but I haven't heard it in quite a while...

I feel the same, especially when it comes to Ayu, as I have an urge to sing along, which at times makes it impossible to study.

I never said BoA's was original. I just said it was superb, cause, well, to me it's superb XD lol.
It's obvious BoA just wanted to make a fun dance album. And she did it well. The album's fun and it serves its purpose.

None of them are original. But at least BoA's a better generic dance album than TITO, which is a not-as-good generic R&B album imo lol.

Hikki and BoA had the same goal: enter the US market. Period. They both kinda sold out to be more appealing to the US market tbh.

So yeah, conclusion: they're both generic albums, but, thanks to a bunch of catchy songs, a pretty cover and decent PV's, this time, BoA wins .

I did it for love. The chorus is repetitive, but CBTM doesn't sound Hikki at all.
