I thought quite hard until I finally remember the one song forever stuck with me- Memorial address. No contest! The lyrics, the music (and its transition from soft to hard and back to soft again) ESPECIALLY the AT03-04 live. It's that exact live that really got me into Ayu, I only knew her pretty vaguely before that and always thought she was just another sugary pop star, but since then I knew she was definitely way more than that!

Because of You: What can I say!
This song is just genious. It's touching, and describes a relationship well... the despair, the agony, the sweet moments. I like how the music is kinda hard on this one because it really emphasizes the lyrics. The video does an amazing job too, in showing how much longing the prostitute has for the man she can never be with, and how she pushes him away even though it breaks her. The final touch for it is the anime within the video, showing the "ideal" romance, or maybe the way the prostitute dreams of how her love could be. More later!

My all-time favorite, hands down, without a doubt, forever, will always be no more words.
There's something about this song that just touches my soul. I never get tired of it; the lyrics are really unique and special to me; the arrangement is beautiful; the melody is absolutely gorgeous; her voice is simply perfect; it's timeless to me. It always gives me that warm and fuzzy feeling inside, you know? ^^

Difficult choice. TRUST or For my dear or RAINBOW, for me.
I've been listening to Ayu since the very beginning days when the first two songs were new and not so popular. She was just gaining steam as a fashion leader and charismatic idol of young people. I remember seeing her living her life in earnest in the PVs and thinking, "Something is different about this girl..." I cannot choose between the two of them. Her first album will always probably be my favorite, even though I am a fan of just about every song she's done, including her newest stuff. But the oldest stuff is the truest to me. The lyrics are what get me, and these two songs have lyrics that will live on in my worldview for a long time. I really empathized and connected with her words in TRUST, talking about trying to touch one's true self and the solitude and reflective qualities of For my dear. RAINBOW is, to me, about reaching out and connecting with oneself, something that is probably the most important in life. The PV really tells me who she was talking about in the song. She sings to "you," but she is singing to herself. This is the way I hope to be able to speak to myself in my life. It's no easy feat, but it's necessary to live honestly and authentically, I'd say. So my three songs are my favorites because of their messages. But I also like the vocals (I miss the early Ayu vocals a lot) and melodies. But, as I said, I am pretty much a fan of every song she has released. What a prolific career.
