i don't care who wore the clothes first. the fact of the matter is people act like lady gaga invented avant-garde clothing, which she did not. she is merely riding on the coattails of fashion designers, waiting for the next out-of-the-ordinary outfit to appear. she's a shock jock with minimal writing talent. nothing about her is edgy or unique, she's just another blonde pop star in my eyes. instead of people thinking of lady gaga when you see such an outfit, you should be crediting the designer. lady gaga did nothing but wear the clothes, which i'm sure her record label is responsible for (testing a new type of marketing).

I think it's amazing tbh, it's hugely artistic, it's the kinda thing GaGa would do, if you knwo the first thing about why GaGa does what she does. it's also better then anything Kuu's done ever

I'm really tired of people who think always the same thing! Lady GaGa didn't anything of new (Style and MUSIC)! Okay? She's a copy of a copy of another copy! And it's the same for all current artists. And where is the problem about that?

In real life for everyone: It's the same thing we do every days! Please STOP >_<

Okay then, I'm sure no-one has done a predatory Hawaiian caterpillar before. (And if someone has, well, that's just creepy.)

I personally don't care if people think Ayu copied Gaga.
If you let people get to you, you're going to get wrinkles.

See if Ayu started walking around with a hair bow on her head, and in that origami outfit that GaGa made so famous, that would be different. I don't see why people can say she "copied" I don't think GaGa has worn that Alexander McQueen Horn of Plenty red and black outfit, or the white and black outfit.. he IS a famous designer, and they just happen to be British designers, which is what Ayu was after anyway. She's worn his stuff before anyway. :/

EDIT: I also find it unnecessary to bash Lady GaGa here as well, that's just as bad as bashing Ayu for what she wears.

agreed, especially about the colored part lmao.

Hmm, some other PV's I thought were pretty weird were WHATEVER, Real me, ourselves, walking proud & alterna. All were before gaga.

Weird/out there fashion before gaga..

Well, I think Its bit weird she used strange outfits like Gaga at this time. she's like following gaga. its been so long she never wore strange outfit like she wore in SLT.
but now she comes back again and unfortunately Gaga at her peak brings all the impact

I kinda thought the point was to look like Lady Gaga.

It's obviously a parody of her style, like Starin' was a parody.

I don't think Lady GaGa is copying Ayumi and I don't think Ayumi is copying Lady GaGa. If either of them is copying ANYONE, it's Madonna, but I'd like to think their both just drawing a bit of inspiration here and there from VARIOUS artists and other places.

If you wanna get technical-- Ayumi started doing this weird "avant-garde" thing around 1999 when the kanariya single was released (and has continued to use it off and on ever since.) She actually used elements of it even prior to that, but let's just say she started in 1999. GaGa was 13 then, so... Yeah.

Didnt she say somewhere that there were a bunch of famous people in it?
I think the video is a parody too, that might or might not be pointing towards Gaga..idk about that

I dont mind people having their own opinions about things but when i have to read 6 pages of a thread in the news section about Gaga vs. Ayu its kind of annoying, plus all the actual news gets lost.

I personally didnt think of Gaga at all when i watched the preview, I honestly just thought of Ayu, this MV looks like something she would do even if Gaga didnt exist

There are a bunch of professionals / models in it.

(The people on instruments = professionals at playing their instruments, I guess, and the models are actual models that work in the industry.)

As for the outfits, a lot of them have been worn by GaGa, or at least she has also worn stuff from the same collections. But this is mostly because both Ayu and GaGa chose to use the best British designers when choosing fashion designers... it's more that Ayu and GaGa probably have similar tastes in avant garde fashion and that's why things kind of seem strange.

I think this is Ayu's first time venturing into the world of "fashion" in a PV, haha. (wearing designer outfits and etc. anyway)

^ Ohh I thought she meant that either A.) she was gonna play dress-up or B.) There would be a few models/musicians that you could automatically go "I know them!"
But then of course the MV would cost sooo much to make, so i kind of doubted B.

Quite honestly, I find it annoying that Ayumi and Lady GaGa have been compared so much, and that also goes for any other artist out there who came out before Lady GaGa did. I don't deny Ayumi has a similar style to Lady GaGa in Sexy Little Things, but really? It's not like everything is 100% original anymore, down to outfits, filming locations, etc.

Ladies Night not weird on the level of GaGa? If anything, I think it's weirder than anything GaGa has done ever.
