Er - you should re-read what Karen said. After baka-ranger talked about fangirling, she said that she probably was the only one who supports Arashi for music only. Which is untrue because we're not only supporting them for their looks or whatever else. We're not those little girls you mentioned. Just because I've said that I like buying CDs for booklets and such, I wouldn't just buy a CD for that. That's idiotic. I won't buy a CD unless the music is good. Which is why I bought my Arashi CDs...

Why should I re-read what Karen said? What part am I not getting? YOU'RE the one who is confused... no one was accusing YOU of being like those little girls, but I know there are a whole lot of people out there (and here on AHS) who only the JE bands because they're ~so kewt~ or whatever, and for very shallow reasons. But those bands are created to be image first, music third or forth.

But what Karen said was that she was the only one. And all ayupi and I did was deny that she was the only one. You may not have said that we were like those little girls, but what I said is that we aren't. I don't understand why you're talking about other people when all ayupi and I said was that we disagree with Karen.

I'm sorry you can't understand my posts. I'll try to make them a little more simple next time. But you have to realize that there are definitely people out there (and on AHS) who like JE groups for reasons other than their music. I'd venture to say the vast majority, in fact, were attracted to them and are still fans for other reasons. But that's understandable, as Johnny's Entertainment has made them that way.

isn't that the concept of idol groups? they do certain things to attract attention and stuff for their music. but not every fan is like that. only the obsessive ones, lol. but i gotta admit that i only got into arashi because of matsujun, but now i love every member and their music altogether.

Well then I don't see how you can't understand Karen's point. Most people here seem to like them for their music but mostly for other reasons. It's fine to like an act based on their image, so I don't see why people aren't just owning up to it.

The thing about Karen's point that I don't understand is why she thinks she's the only one who like Arashi based on their music. What we've said is that sure we've bought into the image and how cute they are or whatever, but we also support them because of the music.

I was assuming she meant she likes them based only on their music, or mostly because of their music. I don't know if that's true or not though.

i got into Johnny's because of their looks, i won't denyyyy. but, it was the other factors that pulled me into the fandom and those reasons are why i'm still a fan today. they always do something to grab attention.

...cuz KANJANI8 has more personality than all the recent JE groups combined. and sometimes, i'd rather have a true blue group bond than a fake one.

just look at Nishikido Ryo when he's in KANJANI8 in comparison to NEWS. NEWS may have better looking group of fellows, but Ryo shines in K8.

K8 has a stronger bond than Arashi. yeah, i said it.
