i guess avex think rapid releases will pick up her popularity again. =[
hasn't her number of singles already passed ayumi's? lol and i always thought ayu had a lot.

EDIT;; ogm. i just saw that her BESTS releases are on the same day as ayu's new album. WTF is up with avex and pitting three of its artists against each other.

Avex's accounting year ends on March 31st. They are trying to pack in as many releases before that date to increase their income for the accounting year.

And by doing that they are really screwing both the fans and the artists themselves. They put in so much work for their albums but it won't be as appreciated as it should be what with so many other albums coming too.

That, and by releasing the same on one date more will sell. E.g. someone will want to buy Ayu's NEXT LEVEL and only likes Kumi somewhat but wouldn't normally buy her album, but ordering it all at once without having to wait they'd do it faster.

are you sure about kuu said she just got done recording her next single? people tend to be wrong a lot.. lol

especially when someone "translated" and said that taboo would be out a month for the FC before it actually came out, and everyone got excited over nothing.

at the moment Kaori , Koda has put out 43 singles inclusive of that damn March 4th one

With Koda Kumi's sales, its not that she is'nt popular, I think its just that Japan is in recesion right now and demand is really low. Once the economy picks up you will all see sales rise for her and other artists as well.
