So I'm watching "Taking The Stage" on MTV and you know how on "The Hills" they'll play a song coming back from a commercial or in the middle transitioning between scenes or going into a commercial?

Well Utada's "Come Back To Me" just was used like that in "Taking The Stage"!

I got all excited. Still am.

These 2 kids who are in a weak relationship who'll break up any moment now were talking and Utada came in the background singing the chorus right after the bridge "Baby Come Back To Me" and then they parted ways looking back at each other and Utada came in louder with, "Baby Come Back To Me!", with the "La La La La"'s in the background of the chorus towards the end and you could hear it perfectly and then it faded away to commercial. It was so appropriate for the scene.

Finally. May not be radio, but it's my first time hearing the song somewhere else other than my iTunes, iPod or streamed online somewhere.

^MTV? As in THE MTV not one of those little spinoff channels? WHOA THATS BIG...whats all the hype about The Hills anyway x_x Its so obvious that the show is scripted....random....I was in the car with my family going to target last weekend an an airplane was drawing the message "Spencer Loves Heidi" in the sky and I was just like....lol...its everywhere...

aww....if I had a car I'd drive down there, pick you up, and then drive up...I'd be getting you at like 6 am though lol

Can you make it to morgan hill?

Well I'm still deciding if I can go or not...but I was just gonna jump on the Caltrain and go up by myself, and maybe meet a friend in SF, and then we all go.

That or, i'm gonna get a ride to fremont and then take the bart up and in...but I think caltrain will be faster than going all the way around...and probably cheaper.

But ahh I have to talk it over with some people...this month and the next month is pretty hectic for my family right now.

My mom would probably be like, we could just go get you lol My mom used to live in Los Banos and drive to work in morgan hill and back everyday.

lol that could work too. She used to live here? Small world. Did she like it here? (I'm going to guess no? lol I haven't heard of many people actually liking it here.)

Good picture of Hikki, even with the sneakers and Hikki was played on MTV? Even if it was in a show that's good promotion. I kind of want to turn to MTV now.

OMG I just heard CBTM on the MTV show!!!! Its so weird hearing a song by someone like Utada on a MTV show...thats MAJOR! Utada!!!!! I watched a crappy scripted, cheesey, vomit-inducing romance-reality show hybrid all for you! K now changing channels

FINALLY she was played on MTV. That's big. This album has to sell well. I'm not trying to start a war here with BoA fans and such....but what were BoA's total sales for debut album?

I've seen Utada mentioned in BoA's thread many times due to comparisons between their English Albums so it can't hurt here I suppose. You'd almost feel like you were rubbing it in or something if a bunch of Utadans went over into the BoAan's Thread asking about sale numbers when we know they weren't that good.
