I agree, it's just absurd. Making matters worse is YouTube Red that affects not only Sony (if it isn't blocked outside of Japan, but it's still blocked in the countries that have YouTube Red, specifically the USA, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and Korea) but a number of other labels (e.g. Victor, Teichiku, Nippon Columbia) and certain specific acts (e.g. AKB48), but yeah, I don't know why Sony's still in some kind of a 'protectionist' mindset...

(I even see a YUI fansite complaining about the Sony BS that Karen is talking about as well. Yet why am I still listening to Nogizaka46/Keyakizaka46, both part of Sony?)

Her fanclub closes end of August, which probably means her contract with Sony is ending.
As she teased with us new music, she either already has a new contract with another label or she is going indie.
Either way the 'My Love' teaser indicates something else is coming.

The new song is alright. I like the style of it. I was just excited to hear something and I hope to hear more soon. I love following her Insta because I appreciate and enjoy her urban aesthetic. Today I saw her name come up because she liked a 21 Savage picture I was looking at and it was such a pleasant surprise to go to her page and find new music this time.

I still think the song is just alright so it was hard to sit through it just to watch the mv. I think the mv is also just alright. I just can't vibe with her styling in it. Jasmine looks so great in the everyday styles she posts all the time but I never get how that can't translate to stuff like this well lol. I just kept staring at those lashes when she has the blue lipstick. And then the outfit with the silver skirt is a no. And the editing in general is too much.

But I'm still happy it exists
