^ She'll be invited for sure, she has attended ever since her debut and she's been the opening act for 5 years in a row, and now is her 15th anniversary, it would be the weirdest thing if they didn't invite her...

^ It depends on the theme of this year's Kouhaku, and then the Kouhaku committee will choose a (few) song(s) out of the artists' discography. It may or may not be a recent song.

People worrying about Ayu not being invited is a bit odd... she was way more active this year than in previous years when she was also invited. (2011 sticks out to me)
